The tankbustas would run up with the boyz with gretchin in front providing cover. Heavy support and lootas in the back preferably in cover. Does it seem to work? What would make it better. I like the tankbustas so I don't think I'll drop them.

That's some impressive dakka.
70 points of grots says to me leave them on the squig farm and get a battle waggon (lose the cannons for a free slot, you have the tank busters for the S8 shots).

If you want to keep it foot slogging they could be used to pay for another mek with KFF; or Shokk attack gun. The boss poles are slightly wasted, by the time the unit is small enough to need them it is finished in any case.

I always suggest keeping Boss Poles. It's the difference between 9 perfectly good boyz running away off the table and 9 boyz charging and tying up a crucial squad for a turn.

I would suggest leaving the Boomwagons at home. They're your only AV and they will be focused down quite quickly. Unlike the above poster, I believe you should use all your heavy support slots for artillery batteries. They got a huge buff this edition. I would suggest two sets of kannons and one set of lobbas. This gives you very good AV potential while the lobbas give you good anti-horde. Since the lootas are sort of an in between you can appropriate squads to assist with either of these jobs as you see fit. With the points you save you can add some more boys to buff up your footslogging squads.

Loot as in 5 or 15 otherwise leadership can be an issue and they are likely to run away if shot at and not fearless

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also cannons are better than looted wagons anyway. Put 3 gretchin in front to die then they become majority toughness 7 due to the gun and 3+ save instead of majority toughness 2

Ok I think it looks better now. The reason I was using boomwagons is because I've already made some, but I don't doubt that kannons are better for this type of list. I got 10 more boyz with the points I saved, as well as bomb squigs to fill the point gap. Does it look better? Some other options I was looking at were adding a weirdboy w/o warphead or more tankbustas. Would either of these been better?

well i think your idea for the grots is funny but i would put your lootas and big mek behind and agis defence line for anti air, and scince youll have a cover save you wount need the kff so you could get somthing like a burna idk, but use him to fire the las cannon or auto cannons or use one of your gotz to fire it scince they are bs 3 after all

9 kannons op XD

this list looks epic lots of boys lots of fire power the only thing you need is the agis defence line for air and this list is epic :3

we dunno wot you been told,
our Stormboyz here are mighty bold,
we da best of da lot,
we make yins look like grots

Lobbas are really great now. Barrage allows you shoot over all those aegis defense line or even LOS blocking terrain. Plus you can "snipe" out models with them.

With reference to lobbas. It depends who is behind the aegis line. If you have a standards space marine then they still suck, if you have a small guard unit then they're ace.
The LOS thing is good but the weapon is still a weak one.

Yah they said the same thing about the Thunderfire cannon...
