Hi there everyone. Starting an army, for now I have 10 marines and LR Proteus assembled.

Praetor and 20 man tactical squad goes in Spartan, 10 justaerin go to other Spartan, support squad deployes in Proteus for homescorring and firebase, 10 man squad in Phobos supports offence. Any suggestions before I order 2 Spartans? :-)

Swap the justaerin for standard cataphracti termies... The justaerin are massively overpriced and not scoring to boot! You swap the multi meltas for a couple of combi melta and plasma blasters

Difference is about 230-240 points, but they've got furious charge, stubborn, 5 ws and 9 ld, providing more stability for stubborn and awesome amount of attacks. And I like miniatures.
But thanks, I will think about swapping them for default termies. Other way is to drop Spartan and termies and take 2 squads of Destroyers with jump packs (Catulans as I see them).

I agree with Massaen, Justaerin are very overpriced. Unless you're taking Abaddon to make them fearless and allow the squad he is attached to, to deepstrike, they really aren't worth it. (and even then, you're talking stupid points for what amounts to a Termicide squad)

Taking a standard Legion Command Squad in Terminator armour will get you a squad of 5 characters with WS 5 and LD 9 plus a Fearless banner and more options.

I've thought to depict 4th company after death of Hastur Sejanus so thought to add some units from 1st of Abaddon. But now I can't paint them black. That's silly :-(

So Justaerins are only used with Abaddon or Horus?

Oh no, any Sons of Horus force can use them in place of a Command Squad or as an Elite choice. I only brought up Abaddon as one way I feel they can be used. In fairness they are just overcosted due to playtesting on FW's side showing Stubborn to be very powerful in a land with no And They Shall Know No Fear. Your millage may vary of course but on paper they don't appear to be worth it.

Personally though I am building a 1st Company force so Black Armour Terminators will be featuring heavily, however against any 40k list they'll be either regular Legion Terminators or Command Squads as Stubborn doesn't translate very well. (Forgeworld even admit this in their FAQ.

Updated first post, switched justaerins for standart termies, added LR Phobos for small tac squad.
