Any kind soul want to post them as attachments here on Dakka for the work blocked?

That'd be against the dakka rules, IIRC.

Those phoenixes look good. They will make prime converiosn material for my Slaanesh fantasy army and for my Tzeentch 40K army. Those wings will serve Daemon princes well!

Pretty surprised they managed to combine the shadow warriors with maiden guard without making either variant look silly. I reaaally like those magic bows.

not that impressed by the chariot but let's wait for more leaks, like the phoenixes

Are those really Maidenguard? They look too masculine now that I look at their faces.

This is what I was wanting for MG.

EQ is still a butterface.

Not sure the Maiden Guard are a complete success, but wouldn't say they were an abject failure either.

Why is the Swordmaster Mage holding a jellyfish though?

I have to say I like the Eagle Chariot a lot. It looks very cool. I may buy one just to model and paint.

Overall, a for this release so far.

The Maiden Guard are a little lantern jawed though eh?

Most unfortunate, as is the everqueen's head. Still those eagles for the chariot are about the best eagles GW's done.

I think the look of the Maiden Guard is going to depend on the paint job. Some of them look more feminine than others to me. I even found myself thinking, if I was in a bar which one would I hit on (old habits die hard )

Everqueen is indeed a disaster. A head swap with one of her plastic sisters may sought it though.

Eagle-boat - okay... I guess. The boat is a bit silly, but the eagles look pretty nice. Might be possible to convert into Warhawks for WElves?

Sea Guard character - meh. Helm is silly - how is he supposed to turn his head?

Shadow Warriors... they're okay. Not terribly exciting, but okay. Could definitely be used as Exodite Guardians, so that makes me more excited about them.

Maiden Guard - again, okay. I kinda like the hair, but they don't look overly girly. Elfy, yes, girly, no.

Battle Jellyfish and mage sidekick... horrible. Over-armoured and far too clunky.

Anime Magical Girl - oh lordy... horrid.

Phoenixes, okay - but what's with the horrible throne/armchair he's sitting on? In my head, Elves have way better taste and designers than this.

... What's with all the hearts everywhere? Is this High Elves proudly sponsored by Sailor Moon or Hello Kitty?

Maiden Guard commander - how thick is her spear? What's she going to do, bash people over the head with it?

1.) Still liking the (unmounted) phoenix.
2.) Chariot: The eagle looks good, the chariot itself is okay, the connection between the two is just stupid and not believable even in a Fantasy setting. The crew is clumpsy and ugly like the old spearmen.
3.) The shadow warriors are the best of the (new) bunch, but not better than the old metal ones I own. Might get some, even if the fumbling with swords AND bows looks stupid.
4.) Maiden Guard suffers from the desperate attempt to make double kits of completely different units. Plus GW's assumption that men and women share the same hip and lower body form (see also Eldar and Dark Eldar). Also there seems to be just one head for all Maiden Guard troopers, except for a slight modification of how the hair moves. Seriously a missed chance not doing justice to Maiden Guard. Good thing I have the old models.
5.) Wizard (I guess): Too bad they glued the lower body on backwards I am not aware of any High Elf wizard in full plate mail. This miniature is running, sword fighting, casting a spell all in one time, why not also balancing a ball on his nose to keep him occupied?
6.) Everqueen: Face ugly (may be the paint job), headwear clumpsy, ugly and doesn't fit the character. The so called hair doesn't make sense. Not yet sure if the miniature might work if you use another head.
7.) The Maiden Guard Commander is fine, fits old Maiden Guard models but not at all the new ones. Which might be a good thing as I will keep on using the old ones. The spear is oversized though.

Edit: Seems that the chariot character is meant to be Phoenix King Finubar, according to the original source /tg/ .

I don't know, the faces seem to be about the same detailed wise. The EQ just has a really stupid hat and staff and fairly weak pose. She apparently shops at the same hat shop Nagash shops at.

I don't think so. From what I hear Teclis is going Finecast, so probably the old sculpt.

If there is one thing that Teclis has never been, it's a warrior...

Is it just me, or does it look like the Madien Gaurd and Shadow warrioirs are a split kit?

They have the exact same legs.... Seems like a poor choice.

Given old and now reliable rumours, the mage is a High Mage of Hoeth (swordmaster and mage), the "maiden guard" is first of all a new unit with magic bows plus dual kit with shadow warriors, Finubar included in the chariot kit and the chariot either a mount for Finubar or equipped with a bolt thrower. Given the look of the Maiden Guard commander, Maiden Guard will at best get a Finecast recast, because the commander look doesn't fit the archers at all.

High mage confirmed a while ago as plastic by Hastings.

BTW I added the new pics to the first post.

I'm fairly certain they have boobs and the torsos are very subtly different to the Shadow Warriors.

For some unknown reason, even the best GW sculptors think that just adding boobs to a male sculpt makes it female.

Aye, this is a case of finecast Maiden Guard would have been better served than a mixed kit with the Shadow Warriors, unless they had made them mostly female as well.
This call leaves the Maden Guard in an odd position, and the champion, who is a finecast addition by the looks of it totally stands out against the rest of her unit.

Everqueen is not exactly what I was hoping for, but I've no doubt I'll grab one.

Phoenixes are still cool, and the chariot isn't half bad, so will have one of those as well, plus a good chunk of Shadow Warriors.
