Figured this was the best place for this question...

I'm going to convert a Warboss or Big Mek for my Dad for his birthday, having had a game with him at a GW store recently and his apparent temptation to join the hobby (that and he has everything he could already want, so at least this is "something his boy spent time on for him".

I'd want to make it wysiwyg though, and don't have an Orc Codex. I'll be buying from bitz sites and could do with some ideas for effective builds on these models. Not sure if should opt for a Warboss or a Big Mek - your thoughts are appreciated here! If he does get in to the hobby he'll be facing off against Tau & Dark Eldar (along with my Marines - loyalist & traitor - when I get them completed).

One thing that's apparent is that he really needs 'eavy armour or whatever it's called, as a warboss with a standard 6+ save or whatever it is they have is nothing short of bloody ridiculous.

So yeah, any and all suggestions are welcome, thanks for your help!

Ork warboss on bike with powerklaw - cybork parts (his head perhaps) and with a bosspole. You wont need 'eavy armor as he's on the bike allready granting a 4+ and a 4+ coversave

Big mek... well most tend to go for normal KFF and nothing more.
But you can add him to hold a burna. and perhaps cybork body.

a bike boss will be the best, but I'd magnetise the parts so he can be changed round. After all, your dad might like the idea of a big choppa boss after a while! other than that, stick with what these other gitz say.
