I am playing Dark Eldar for a campaign. I want to play as fluffy as I can. The story is the white scars are defending against a tyranid invasion force and the dark angels are trying to save some relic that is on the planet while the main battle is going on. My part is that I see an opportunity to gather some good entertainment for the arena. Question is who do I attack first. I would assume space marine of some sort since they would provide good competition for the fans. The White scars on there bike would be good for the reavers but deathwing would be a great catch. HELP!

I'm confused. Are you looking for a fluff reason for playing dark eldar? Or a fluffy army for a raiding party?

neither. I am looking for who would make the most since to attack. We have choices each round and those choices effect our armys later. I just want to play fluffy.

White scars I think then. Dark elder would take twisted pleasure from turning a hunter into a hunted

Anything but the tyranid's, they wouldn't really have a use for the tyranid's, but they would take a perverse pleasure in capturing marines to use in the arena.

Think Alien V Predator. the predator's ie the dark eldar see the tyranids (the bugs) as something to hunt. wheras the whitescars would make for good "experimentation"or for the "pit" in gladiator combat. the same reasoning can be applied to a tyranid. cut off from the hivemind a tyranid will revert to whatever instincts it is grown/evolved to accomodate. but i'd say (unless it has already happened i mean campaign turn x) to think in narrative of movies you like and think are memorable

DE codex page 23, bottom right hand corner in a little box, a story about DE relations with Nids. The wych cult red grief spiked some unlucky planet with bio matter so Nids would be attracted to it. Why not go one step further and capture Nids to use in arenas?

"Archon Yulliptidon sat apon a throne made of polished glass, which gleamed with magnificence in the rays of the dying suns, beautifully suspended above the the many razor sharp peaks that where Commorragh. The archon held within his hands a a delicate pyramid of sculpted crystal, from which emitted a faint glow, an echo of the soundless screams of pain belonging to countless tortured souls forever trapped within. The room in which the archon sat in was something like a throne room, but displayed apon the walls where helm of every color, but all the same in size and shape. Some bore eagles on their foreheads, and others still contained the decapitated heads of their previous owners. Two huge, beautifully carved iron double doors, engraved with intricate runes of pain and suffering, opened at the far end of the room, to reveal a tall, elegant dark eldar warrior, clad in armor made from bone and flesh. "lord Yulliptidon, you asked for my presence?" Said the arrival, " to what do I owe the pleasure?". The archon raised his elongated head, skin as pale as a full moon, eyes as vivid as a horrible nightmare. " I did not ask for you, Thrayon, I ordered your presence. Do not think to much for your self, for truly, you are not much past a feral that one would find on the streets. As for why I have ordered you to my palace, it is because their is a task that I wish you to preform. I wish you and you kabal to cleanse the imperial out fort of Sargosain Gastienagan." Thrayon was both aghast and interested at what the archon had just said. "Such a task would stretch my kabal to its limits, only a great reward would be enough to do a deed like this." Yulliptidon was outraged by the the proposal of a "great reward" by Thrayon, but did not let his anger show, hiding it with a cold smile that hid his evil intentions surprisingly well. The archon was was famous for never telling a lie in his life, but was very fond of veiled double speak, and this was no exception. "Do not worry, Thrayon, you shall receive what you deserve." Thrayon, happy with this outcome, left to carry out Yulliptidons task. Little did he know what was coming. Thrayon had done a thousand evil deeds, and what he deserved was a horrible death equal to to all those he had caused. Yulliptidons smiled. He was going to have fun."

Attack nids first, because fluffily the white scars HATE the dark eldar. You want them to attack you, because there primarch walked into the webway to try kill all the dark eldar in the universe...since they are still there it wont of turned out to well. I can just imagin a big primarch in the areana, or worse the kind of grotesque he would make! Or maybe it was you Kabel who have there primarch in the areana, and you liked him so much you want to complete the collection of white scars? Who knows, maybe you have a fetish for tyranids, its dark eldar, you never know!
