Belial

10x Deathwing w/ 4x TH/SS and 2x Assault Cannon

10x Deathwing w/ 4x TH/SS and 2x Assault Cannon

Coteaz

10x Grey Knight Terminators w/ Warding Staff, 2x Daemon Hammers, 2x Psycannons, Psybolt Ammo, and Brotherhood Banner

Storm Raven w/ TL MM and TL Lascannon

the Deathwing teleport in on the flanks with the GK going up the middle. The only thing I have in reserve is the Raven and that is to deal with enemy flyers. Have never run an all terminator army so this should be fun.

Why Coteaz?

Coteaz actually has a decent purpose this edition other than henchman spam. He brings mastery level 2 and access to the divination chart for very cheap. The other rules are almost gravy.

Seems out of place to me. Terms are pretty tough in 6th. Just not sure what having 3 squads would do for you in an competitive environment. I may try it just to find out.

Why are you assuming a competitive environment? OP never said this was competitive. I was just making the point that Coteaz goes well in any GK army (even those without henchman) because of cheap access to two divination powers. Misfortune combined with presience is almost broken and with Coteaz you may be able to pull that off.

Can Dark Angels not combat squad? Grey Knight detachment can.

Dark Angels can not combat squad, and I don't think I would want to combat squad the knights.

Coteaz is amazing, for his points there is no better psyker. He is a librarian in Inquisitors clothing. 2 divination powers, I have been expecting you, and the ability to screw with the first turn make him almost a must have for an allied Grey Knight detachment. I can hide him in the terminator squad and he fits in with his 2+ save.

One of the squads will get hammered by blast templates when they drop. Could be really painful. But if most of the DW squads survive the first round it should be fun. I'd put TH/SS on Belial and drop one of the TH/SS on the squad he's with and make sure your sergeants have TH/SS and be ready to use your best wound allocation shenanigans.

I'd drop Belial in the enemies back field drop the other group where they could support either GK or Belial 1st/2nd turn based on mission/objectives.

Because I wanted to. It was my point. It didn't look like a fun list design? Was my "deductive reasoning" showing?

I have been expecting you alone has saved me so many times.

It is an awesome defense vs DeepStrike.

Also with both Deathwing squads deepstriking in turn 1, you can't really hit anything with your drop pods on turn 1 without getting a lot of psycannon and Str 5 storm bolters cutting into you.
