It won't be a wedge block, Maro has explicity stated numerous times he wants there to be a 5 year gap between any Multicolored blocks, We're JUST getting done with RTR block, a gold block, so we won't be going into a Gold-matters block so soon after.

It won't be Fetchlands either, According to Maro and Aaron Forsythe, they're still a LONG way off before they come back, it's probably some kind of casual garbage, tribal, etc.
Or they could be bringing Snow permanents back done right, etc.
The Fabled "Bushido done right" as well.

It's not Kamigawa, that picture with the dude by himself is Sarkhan Vol, and this is his homeworld.

Some cliff notes from this video:

- Same Designers as Innistrad and Theros.

- Dragons are extinct in Tarkir

- Large-small-large blocks, with something "Very Interesting" being promised by MaRo.

- Sept 26, 2014 is the scheduled release date.

So if we're going for a sarkhan vol look...... with a bit of the old kamigawa look/theme, im guessing it'll be some sort of old mongolian-looking barbarian theme for the set, so im guessing goblins, and ogres etc will make a very hardcore comeback, and will be like minotaurs and centaurs in theros, something like that

Saw the eastern theme, but is it confirmed no Kamigawa? Could always just be a separate part of the same world- Huns attacking Japan for instance.

Sarkhan being there probably means the return of Nicol Bolas. Yawn.

It's not confirmed, but the dragons are all dead, while Kamigawa had Kokusho and company. I don't think it's them, but there is a reason I didn't put it in the bullet points

^ Not necessarily; Sarkhan is best with Dragons, but he's heading to a plane without them, even if it is his homeworld. If it was some brilliant Nicole Bolas plan, it seems kind of odd sending your pawn where he wouldn't do his best work.

Also Kokusho and the others were the only dragons of that set, and if I remember right were never brought up in the books. Entirely possible they're all gone.

No substantial proof, but apparently WotC has taken out a trademark for "Dragons of Tarkir".

No, WotC has already confirmed the set names for the Block.
Kahns of Tarkir
Warlords of Khanar
Dragons of Tarkir.

Could be something happening that Vol can permanently repopulate the dragon species on Tarkir, or perhaps Bolas can, idk, It's all conjecture at this point, But we do know it's a post zendikar storyline, due to the Hedron Piece on Vol's Bardiche.

Also, this is not Kamigawa, Vol's home plane has been kept secret til now, the only thing we knew was that the Dragons had all been hunted to extinction on his plane. Which is why his spark sent him to Jund, a plane where Dragons ruled with tyranny. Kind of like the Ulitmate Irony the Vol had been searching for a powerful dragon to conquer.

Either way, it's definitely not Kamigawa, definitely not Zendikar, this is a NEW plane.

Bah! Why must you crush my dreams?! Another set I'll probably pass over. If something crops up for affinity I may get it, but the set doesn't interest me at this point.

Hmmmmm..... I almost feel like tamiyo could make a comeback with this set if they bring back the moonwalker, or moonfolk people, that she is a part of, maybe not, but its a possibility.....

Tamiyo is most likely still on Innistrad studying the Moon. Remember, she was studying it for a while before the Helvault was destroyed. So she's got a lot to study now that it has been altered.

We likely won't see her for a while again, a couple years tops.

This could be the perfect opportunity for Tezzeret to return, maybe Vol went rogue and Tezzeret is being sent to bring him in?

Bolas could be involved in the plot, but I don't see him coming back with a new card, it could happen, but highly unlikely.

As much as I agree, I don't see how they can top Agent of Bolas, that is likely the best Tezzeret card we'll ever get.

They could surprise me though and give us one at 3 mana with better abilities than AoB.

On Sarkhan, I'd love to see a mono colored version of him, but chances are he might still be R/B or R/G...

I wonder what other walkers will be returning? Perhaps we can finally get Chandra back to finish her fight with Vol?

The coolest thing is, I was JUST starting to put together a R/W/B deck that payed life to do things, but relied on white and blacks life gain to keep it in check. This found a home before it's even released.

Is this a Conspiracy card? I'm not a fan otherwise. The cost keeps it from being playable in a competitive setting(of course, this statement is made about the card in a vacuum. Other cards could help break it).

It's a great Dethrone enabler, too; pay life to get yourself down to where you are lower than them, then swat them with your creatures to make up for the fact that you just payed life to get yourself low.

I suppose that's true. Hopefully you aren't trading more than three life to deal three damage.

It really all depends on your deck; as part of a Mechasa deck (Grants all creatures Dethrone), as a weenie (Though lacking the right colors), you could pile up the hurt real quick.

I like this with Children of Korlis to make it a Combo-Enabler, Turns 1 - 4 drop as many Children as you can find, then cast this, pay life for mana til you can kill your opponent with a Banefire or something. Or pay mana into a huge threat. Legacy has so many options for threats though, so take your pick.
