Hmmm.... the last legendary didnt' show;
He's a three drop mono blue dude, 1/3. Pay 3U, look at the top X cards of your library, where X is the highest CMC among artifacts you control. Put any one artifact unto the battlefield, and the rest to the bottom of your library in any order.
Basically, a Mono blue Mayael for Artifacts, and a not so broken Arcum.

I wonder if you can use conspiracy cards in edh because Secret summoning is just a must have for my shadowborn deck
|
Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in. |

I'm making a blue/black deck with phenax and consuming abberations. And I need a hand finding some cards, please limit these to cards in RtR and theros blocks.
First I want cards that can allow me to bring cards back from the graveyard. Basic I know.
Cards that can get me specific creatures that I need from my deck and including some basic card draw, I got disciple of deceit but wondering if there was something more specific than equal mana cost.
Lastly, things that can stop my opponent doing gak, or make it hard for him to do stuff. Phenax does a nice job at this, paired with consuming abberations I can wipe an opponents deck in 2 turns. Also, are consuming abberations expensive?

Given how Conspiracy Cards work that wouldn't make a lot of sense.
Maybe do an EDH Draft? Start with your commander, draft a conspiracy deck in its colors, play from there.
Or give each player the ability to pick some conspiracies in addition to their deck. Maybe each player can take 5 Conspiracies in addition to their 100 cards or whatever works best.

Conspiracy cards aren't really draft specific, they work by being in the command zone.
This would make perfect sense in an EDH deck utilizing Shadowborn Apostles.
Also, conspiracies aren't color identified, so they could work in any EDH deck.
However, since as of now Conspiracies are only legal in Conspiracy draft, you'd have to talk with your local playgroups about the usage of conspiracies in EDH.

As they're not colour specific there's no reason not to start the game with every applicable conspiracy in your command zone. Somewhat defeats the point of them. Maybe you could have a maximum of one conspiracy in EDH, but if there are only one our two especially useful ones, everyone will use the same few anyway. They only really work in the semi random nature of draft. They don't take up spots in your deck and they don't cost mana to play. So if I bring a conspiracy card and you don't that's not balanced at all. It'd be like starting an EDH game with your commander in play rather than in the command zone. Obviously you just take Emrakul or something like that.
I'm not saying they wouldn't add to the experience. You should either draft them or give each player a limited number of conspiracies to bring in addition to their normal cards. Which is what I already suggested. The point of conspiracy is to make drafting a more integrated part of the game itself.

I agree, you need to get your friends to agree to a conspiracy game if you're going to use the cards. If you only one person is using them that a massive advantage. Unless your doing something like the magic version of a raid deck(I forget the name).

That's precisely why I said check with your group...
And the fact that the only format they're legal in right now is Conspiracy Draft Format.
Either way, you could do it like this:
Have a pile of 1 of each conspiracy card, each player only gets access to one conspiracy per game, decide In turn order who picks what conspiracy.
It's like Planechase EDH or Vanguard EDH.
I wonder, how many people here remember Vanguard?

Alrighty.......... finally got to get back onto dakkadakka, but i was wondering if it might be do-able to get the cards for this deck quite cheap, and where i might be able to do that..... here is the link! ( I already have 1 master of waves, 2 judges familiar, the bidents, all the weirds, islands, aetherling, cloudfin raptors, etc, but i was just wondering about the master of waves, thassa's, and specters. I know i already hav nightveil specters in my mono black devotion deck, but i'd prefer not to take them out of the mono black devotion deck)

I usually just use amazon. I pay a higher price, but I haven't lost an order yet. I use to order regularly from strikezoneonline unlike I never received a $100+ order in the mail. No response to my emails, so I chalked it up to a loss and haven't ordered from them since. Troll and toad is another one. There's a gaming community that has a store, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called.

So guys, been thinking about this card ever since it was spoiled, trying really hard to break it in a Modern deck.....
I could use Eldrazi/Eldrazi Ramp to get out Emrakel ASAP, but while effective, just seems boring. Also, there is a deck that uses it to fully exile your library only to pop out a Laboratory Maniac and a "When X enters the battlefield, draw a card" card, but that just doesn't seem too fun either.
Anything I'm missing guys?
It just seems that if you go for Big Bads, everyone just seems to rush for Emrakel, which just gets boring quick.

I actually have a full Eldrazi deck, that is pretty good about populating mana.

I really want a full Eldrazi Deck (I realize he's the biggest of the big, but it's just boring to see him over and over).
Also, a local store is doing a Chaos EDH game; 12 people free for all, all in the same "Pod".
Good thing I just made a Gahiji deck
Edit:
And THIS is the type of post you do after no sleep for a day.
I really want a full Eldrazi Deck, but it's so expensive, and I realize Emra is the biggest of the bad, but it's just boring seeing him over and over.

So apparently Garruk is going to be Green Black, is still affected by Lillie's Curse, and is actually stalking and trying to kill other planeswalkers in this set.
Nisse is rumored to be the replacement Green 'Walker.

Nissa isn't just rumored, she's all but confirmed, we have new card art from Michael Komarck for her.
We have new Jace Art as well (Jace 5.0!)
WotC is unhappy with Dark Realms Liliana, so we're probably getting 4.0.
Garruk is taking a special slot in this set, like Bolas did in M13.
And there's been New artwork for Ajani spotted as well, so we might be getting a new one, not caller of the pride.
Jace knows about Garruk's curse too, and it might consume Garruk Completely.
The Chain Veil is going to be in the Core Set too. So chances are we're getting a LOTV reprint.

Do you have links for the artwork?
And I don't see why Dark Realms Liliana was bad, my Shade/Maga, Traitor to Mortals deck was WAITING for that planeswalker. (Yes, I know not liking is different from bad, but still).
Also, why get rid of/make Garruk a bad guy? Why not Jace.....

I don't have the link for any of the artwork, although a playmat featuring the new jace art went up on WotC's twitter account.
WotC has just expressed dissatisfaction with the flavor of Liliana of the Dark Realms, it doesn't necessarily make it a bad card, it just doesn't express the flavor they want to with her.
Ajani's new art appears on the Funko figures box, Jace's new art appears in DOTP15.
Garruk, has been cursed by Liliana for...well, 5+ years now. we only got to see his cursed form in card form in ISD. he was cursed by her using the Chain Veil in a webcomic that came out 5 years ago.
Garruk went to Innistrad to seek out Avacyn to cure his curse. When the Cursemute ultimately failed to rid him of it, he returned to hunting for vess, and had a mild encounter with her.
Garruk has a tragic story unfolding, it's not really that he wants to be evil, it's just that, he can't help it anymore.

Oh totally. The Ppheldegrif player has such an amazing deck for it that by turn five, typically everyone has ALL basics on the battlefield (Due to it being the "Casual" night of that particular store, no Mass LD allowed (Targetted still ok)). I don't even have Non-basics in the Gahiji deck anymore because of that.
I think our last game of it ended with one guy Mind Grinding us all for 1, then attacking the only guy running non Basics with the ~300+ 1/1's the Grif and I gave him.
