Just to point out, you have no anti-air and power fists are a HUGE waste on noise marines. You pay for the extra I, use it! Swap it out of lightning claw and melta bombs for your tank killing needs. Also having no blastermakers (i forgot the name :() is a disadvantage, onlybecause they are so good and no one is using them.

Also i can't put much stock in 5 terminators, when ever i see them they are so easy to focus down. What i could surgest is dropping Lucius, hes not that good anyway, in exchange for a slaaneshi lord on bike/steed with lightning claw + power fist (you can pick and choose, and still get +1 attack) and burning brand. Dropping termies would also get you a good bike unit with icon of excess, thats extreamly survivable and killy.

Good luck.

I don't own any air units and basically I refuse to accept air units as a new thing. I won't play vs opponents with air units lmao.
Lightning claws dont really give me the instakill power of a fist, the power of the champ is in the doomsiren.
I have to run TEN noise marines to get a blastmaster and to effectively use it I need to be standing still...

Taking termies for the fluff and will be deepstriking them anyway

Lucius is cute though, and his passive armor rebound ability is excellent vs hordes. Also he will be riding in the rhino with the lads.

Never been a big fan of bikes.

This list is based of what models i have so I'd love to have flyers but I'm too poor hahaha

FAQ, you only need 5 noise marines to have a blastermaster. 10 gets you two.

But the thing is, your not in 5th ed any more, there is no more 'hidden' power fist. You will be challanged, you have to accept and chances are you will die because you strike last. Now with lightning claws you strike first and will kill any other marine sargent before he can strike. Melta bomb can eb used vs vehicals. There are no downsides to that apart from not insta deathing, but any character who wont kill your 1 wound 3+ save dude before he swings is a crap character anyway.

I understand your point on the lightning claw now, I have a very 5th ed mindset hahaha, but yeah checked man, it is 10 men per blastmaster :(

I would try to make points for icons of excess on the noise marines which gives them FNP. I agree you need blastmasters. I would consider for heavy support Forgefiends to at least give you some anti-air support. At some point you need to come to the dark side, flyers aren't going away. You could always invest in a Drake or 2, they are pure awesomesauce.

Sorry, it was from memory, should of been more exact. Dont really play chaos myself, but maybe planing to

Chaos spacemarine FAQ, first page in purple: One noise marine model may replace his boltgun with a blastmaster at 30pts/model. If the unit numbers 10 or moe an adititonal may replace his boltgun with a blastermaster at 30pts /model.

So its one blastmaster per squad, then if over ten you can buy another. Looks to me you dont exactly need a blastmaster, it wouldn't be good in current squads due to heavy nature. But maybe one squad could be slimed down to be a backfield camper on home obj with a blastmaster, sry to sound a broken record but yes, they are that good. Or not. I've also heard good things about dirge casters for assalt units, dennying overwatch would be amazing sometimes. Maybe drop the chainfist for them, if the chainfist is in combat then your wasting your auto cannon. And the things the chainfist wants to take care (AV14 all round, so yeah...just land raiders) of can be dealt with by vindicators.

Good luck.

Honestly in ED5 I used to ALWAYS run one 5 man squad with a blastmaster to hold points, but the nerf has arrived. I've checked the codex three times now and I absolutely need 10 men to run a blastmaster.

That's because you need to read the FAQ on the GW site.

"Page 99 Noise Marines, Options

In this case, the codex is wrong. The FAQ has changed it.

Did not even know this FAQ section existed haha, thanks for pointing this out.

Played a match today and dominated an ork opponent at 1350 points, even though he had a flyer. Vindicators blew everything to bits and the termies held everything up in combat after deepstriking, so my opponent was unable the capture the point in the relic game type.

I only lost 3 marines, a vindicator and two rhinos. Whilst he was left with his flyer, 2 boys and his warboss. Game ended in turn 6.
