Why do some factions have more plastic units than others.
All factions have plastic jacks and beasts except minions, but when it comes to units its massively varied.

Khador and menoth have 5, cygnar have 2 but cryx and ret have none.
Skorne now have 3, trolls get one, legion have 1 or 2 , circle have one or 2.

Why the massive differences? Surely having a good mix of plastics across factions would be a good idea? Are there plans ro do more plastic...because currently plenty of models are still being done in metal.

Personally i prefer plastic as its easier to put units together when theres lots of them...i don't mind so much for singles...

Probably due to many things...which units need to be redone, which are popular, which ones have worn out molds, etc. Id say popularity has to be towards the top, injection molding has a lot of up front cost (the molds are very expensive) and a company needs to know its going to make its money back from the initial high start cost.

I'm hoping that Cryx Black Ogrun and Bloodgorgers are on 'the list' for resculpts in plastic.

I'm amazed that if its due to popularity we dont have plastic banes and kriels. They are both neccesary and expensive...

Menoth and Khador certainly benefitted from being in the two player box, getting their heavy infantry in plastic.

While Menoth and Khador have 4 and 5 units in plastic respectively, they actually only have 2 "base" types in plastic. Khador have winter guard (same bodies, but makes 2 different units) and Man-o-wars, which makes 3 different units. Same with Menoth, which has two different plastic types (Cinerators and bastions use the same bodies, as do knights exemplar and errants). Similarly for Skorne, i think their 3 units are all capharacts right? So the difference isn't that great, as it's really 2 plastic unit 'types' in Menoth and Khador, 1 in cygnar, and none yet in Cryx, which isn't that huge a difference. I'm sure cryx will get some plastic units soon enough.
