Good day all!

I'm a long time wargamer and long time lurker of DakkaDakka. I figured it was about time I came out of my hole and created an account so I can actually participate is some of the ongoing discussions, etc.

I've played 40k since the mid 90s, starting off like most uneducated saps and picked up Marines (Space Wolves specifically). I started working at a hobby shop during my teen years and consequentially sampled most of the codexes on some level (curse you employee discounts!). As I've gotten older, wiser, and (more importantly) married I've begun the hard process of pairing down my collections of 'little army men'. Currently I have forsaken all my Imperial armies (Imperialist scum!) and now am content with my Orks and Tyranids (All Hail the Xenos!).

In college I picked up Warhammer Fantasy which is probably my favorite system from games workshop. I have sizable Beastmen and Chaos Mortal armies, and Tzeentch Daemons might be in my eminent future.

In non-GW circles I am a dedicated player of Malifaux by Wyrd and a promoter of Relic Knights by Soda Pop. If you haven't player either, you really should! I used to play Warmachine/Hordes, but eventually realized the game was not as great as many privateer press advocates make it out to be (a soap box for another time).

I've spent many years as an active hobby promoter in my local community and have become one of the mainstay tournament organizers in my area.

Anyway, I am honored to be here and look forward to some meaningful and interesting discussions.

Cheers

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

Thank you sir, a pleasure to be here!

If I might say, you've done some seriously nice work on those grey knights of yours. I especially like your skin tones and flesh work. I've never been able to get 'pink skin humies' to look right
