Lord - MoN, Plasma pistol, Murder sword - 130 (join plague squad)

Plague marines x 6 - melta x2, power axe, rhino, havoc launcher- 226

Vindicator - havoc launcher - 142

I tried to make an allcomers list. Im fighting eldar, tau, Dark Angels and orks. Anything im unprepared for? Its escalation league, so 1 hq, 1-3 troops, 0-3 elite, 1 hs or fa.

Typically I would prefer Plasma over Melta on Plague Marines, but seeing the list of potential opponents it seems a fine first choice. I think the bigger question is what you plan to build to from here, this list seems fine.

To be honest this list taken out of my 3k points of CSM. I might serve the purpose better of an escalation league if I'm using my daemons(DP of khorne and 28 bloodletters) for a escalation league, but I'm getting bored painting bloodletters.

i prefer melta over plasma ANY TIME because with my luck i always role 1's when useing plasma and with the fact that i cant make a 3+ armor save for the death of me ._. yeaaa....

ok so in tau your going to be fighting railguns and fire warriors
1st thing is that you need to some how either out shoot them, or get to them before they mow you down with range, and with railguns all your tanks are dead, and when that happens if its a hammer head pie plates will fall on you next but his army will be small so you wont have to worry about much.. to counter this you either need survavable shooting units, or FAST charging units with 0 vehicals or some fliers

so for tau swap your vinicare for a heldrake with bale flamer ( remember it can vecter strike ) and swap rhino for more ground units, no either go melee or shooty or mix as you please just be carefull because his shooting is all s 5 ap 5 30 rapid fire on his main gun, rail gun is st 10 ap 1 heavy 1 and depending on what it is it is either tl or has a st 5 large blast on it to

orks are.. special

because no one knows what you might fight when it comes to orks, mabye bike spam, ,mabye melee boys, mabye shooty, mabye few models mabye many models mabye air swarm maby tank spam its all down to the player, so i think the rhino would be uselss there and swap it for more marines to help keep the green tide back and a agis def line to help

when fighting da, it all comes down two 3 things, are they death wing, raven wing, or none

if death wing, expect a VERY small army but terminators everywhere
if raven wing, bikes and speeders everywhere
if non then exect a hail storm of bolter shots and other typical marine things

so again just like orks, try to cover all grounds your best bet is to either out number him, or out survive him

Drop the plasma pistol from lord, the power axe and vindicator for a heldrake if you have it. if not then id get a pair of marked oblits to fight tau better. Oblits have the option to deepstrike and I would do that to counter any gunline formation.

Wont be much of a gunline With One heavy support choice. I know you guys always adwise not buying plamsa pistols, but I think im keeping The plasma pistol cause of wysowyg and bevause its quite handy getting an extra plasma shot before charging or overwatching. I could Get a LC, PF, PM or naken champ, but With I:3 he will probably attack last anyways so i think The power axe is a good cheap Low ap weapon.

Edit: bringing a heldrake to a 500 pt game? Thats just too mean...

Oh, I had assumed fliers are banned from the bottom end of an escalation league. If they're not, go for that without a second guess.

Turns out they were banned.and my vindicator as well. So i traded it for 2 oblitterators of nurgle, they cost almost the same.

I won both my battles with this list. Barely against DA, easily agains eldar

Now... where to go.. 750 pts painted WYSIWYG in 3 weeks.

Yeah I would be surprised if it hadn't been. Are they for the next few rounds?

Also Oblits are a solid alternative, Havocs too (Autocannon) if you run into that problem again.

Yea, ill have to keep this 500 now. Cant bring my heldrake in at 750 so, where do i go from here? just 250 points extra.
