I gotta be honest I think your list looks pretty good, those broadsides are gonna have a fun time with flyers though, One thing though, its totally what you prefer but I feel like you may wanna find a way to sneak a stim injector onto your riptide as people are saying you can take a feel no pain if your nova reactor fails and that could save you. But overall it's really well balanced, One question though, do those stealths still have stealth and shrouded or not?

Writing this right now, just about a day before the new codex comes out seems a tad bit silly.

the FNP injector is 35pts for the big guy, and I have to roll a 1-2 followed by another 5+, thats a lot of investment for a maybe, I figure the odds are slim, Im not overly crazy about the riptide compared to what else I can get, but Im willing to try it out.

However, I would trade in the Fireblade for an Ethereal. 10 pts. cheaper, and kinda meets everyone halfway with Storm of Fire (as opposed to only having one squad with Volley Fire).

Instead of three devilfish, have about two full squads of Kroot with sniper ammo? Just camp your FW in your DZ to provide long-range support, and let your Kroot run amok in your opponent's DZ, forcing him to have to deal with them. Or, if you get first, infiltrate them and have them shoot away, taking out special weapons in enemy units with buckets of precision shots.

Also, with the Missile Mania Broadsides w/ velocity trackers, isn't having a quadgun kinda redundant?

Yeah I was looking at that, Im wondering who is going to man that quad gun, I just like the free shots but I'd rather drop it put in darkstrider.

As far as kroot go, I had them in their originally but wanted to do an "all tau" list instead, they are cheap little objective holders.

Go into spam mode and take 3 Riptides and 3 teams of Missilesides. Lose the Devilfishes and just hunker down with your troops behind the ADL and other cover. Spend the points buying something useful either from HQ or fast attack. Due to target saturation rules I wouldn't take any vehicles in this army. You're just asking the few you got to get blown up by the best anti-vehicle guns your opponent has.

Its 20 sniper kroot, a cadre fireblade, 2 squads of fire warriors in devilfishes (like the ones I posted above) 2 missilesides and a hammerhead.

Im gonna give you advice that im surprised hasnt been given....drop a devilfish(or three) and pick up

2 x5 pathfinders

that equals about one fish....this is codex markerlight after all and you dont have any lol

Honestly the best tau lists Ive seen either dont have markerlights or have guaranteed markerlights/ extremely low investment markerlights. Mind you its a new book, so Im going to tweak it as I go.

Im just saying this, since looks like nobody else did but, how can your FW be bonded if you never paid for it? its a 1 per mini upgrade, and when you cost the units they are obv not there. the only way to skip it is with the Fireblade (Not firecadre) since his a IC and brings his LD to the squad, but... the other 2 smell fishy.

Anyway, you have 1 too many Devilfishes, drop 1 and pick the Pathfinders as its already said, they are mandatory if we want to bring the pain, and not just the ass to be kicked

FW + haywire = 11pts and +1 for bonding knife

Don't see any reason to not take haywire, it's too good.

it generally means you are in the one place tau dont excel, its better to wreck tanks and transports at a distant and bring saturation down on isolated elements.

If you have the points though they are great.

I think it provides additional AV 13/14 killing power that we sorely need.

You seem fine.
I would drop one devil fish..or maybe 2 though , as you have your defense line for those FW .

Also one Ethreal could work for some boosts and give you some points back for your Sergents , also some more shoots.
