Very nice......but... why do people insist on putting osl on air intakes? Not a dig at you or your painting(very envious of your skills), just something I've noticed happening more and more, and well it kind of bugs me. Hahaha (and not sure if its the angle, but the right intake seems to be hightlighted in the centre the the left one)

Looks really nice, but yeah one of the vents seems a lot brighter than the other. Is that an effect to show off the Nova reactor using more power?

Gorgeous work, I'm assuming it's mostly airbrushed? I need to get me one of those...

Dammit, I love this tau miniature so much, I think I have to execute myself for heresy.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I saw someone else post a pic of a painted Tau tank and the Air intakes were painted to be glowing too...is this some weird Tau tech that I haven't heard of?

Very nicely done on the touch of OSL. I can't wait for people to begin branching out and creating their own color schemes though. I'm just not taken with the tan and brown.

i love it. love love love it. from its smooth colors to it's nice clean base and even back to the OSL its great. that being said I would have like to see more of its Ta'u sept. wheres the white? or the deep brown/red? over all i love this paint job, but 8.5 out of 10 for being a little to plain.

still waiting on mine.

You painted this thing very well and cleanly, gj!

I think when i get mine im going to find a way to kitbash a bigger head on it. That tiny head is a bit annoying to look at.

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

Yes beautiful! Why does this model look so much bulkier than on the GW site?

Also, that tiny head has got to go, can't wait for some good conversion.

Cheers for the feedback guys. I'm glad you like the end result. I felt like I was building and painting an old Gundamn toy...in fact I may just dig out one of my old Gundamn Waltz kits and give it a once over.

This miniature was painted to be sold, so I wanted to keep it quite plain so that the winner can embed his own markings and such. Still, very pleased with an 8.5 - not a bad score at all!

I can't speak for others, but I do this because it's quick, looks different from the official games workshop paint job and the technique is quite fashionable right now. Mainly, it's a time thing - you get a good result quickly.

I've just posted up my farsight - can be found either on my website or in the display section of this website.

Thanks again guys, the comments mean a lot.

Nicely done. That model looks great with a more muted scheme than the "fresh from the factor floor" look that the GW scheme has.
