So, I've noticed since building my entire Necron army that my Warriors and Immortals are EXTREMELY fragile, even though I didn't put too much glue when building them and if I needed to reglue after they break, I'd shave the glue that was there off for a new surface.

I just can't believe how fragile they are, if I pick them up wrong they break very easily at their torso or their arms break off. I'm very gentle with them too =(

I'm interested if others have had issues with this or if I'm doing something wrong. Never had this issue with any other army. Any tips on making it a stronger bond? I'm using GW Thin Plastic Glue and recently, on the new Tau, been using Revell's Contacta Pro

Thanks!

I've never experienced any of the arms or joints on my necron warriors or immortals breaking off. I use Loctite super glue and its held my models together just fine. What I've noticed is that the legs on some of the models have broken off right around the shins.

It must be the difference between super glue and plastic glue, I'm sure super glue would have held stronger and better, but I've been told not to use super on plastic since it'll leave that white stuff around. I could be wrong though or things have changed!

Well, there's your problem. GW's plastic glue overall is very, very crappy. All the commission works I've done that have been glued with gw's plastics have ALL broken down.
The worst case has been, without a doubt, when I accidentally hit the figure case with my foot. It was a slight nudge, and all miniatures were in foam trays waiting for painting. I opened the case, and half of them had some part broken off.

Keep on using that Revell's glue, it's a lot better by far. I use Loctite Super Glue, and it's the best glue I've ever used.

Need your miniature army painted? Doing commission works now also internationally. Contact by PM or by email for list of prices and schedule.
