So I have some cards for a game I used to play a long time ago before it died out (not sure if the company went under or so, so I might have to check it out) called Anachronism.

The main idea behind the game is that you are a Warrior from a time period and civilization history pitted to fight against another one that is from a different time period and/or civilization as well in a fight-to-the-death, battle royale kind of game, using dice and a game mat that came with. The rules at the time I played this game was not that rules-heavy and so on.

So, I may ask Dakka Dakka, should I try to sell all of these in hopes I can get enough to contribute towards buying more things for the hobby, keep all of them, or sell some I do not really need? (I think this might have went to the swap shop forum, but I was not sure, if that is the case, I will move to there).

And here is the picture of it and what I have. Sorry for the poor quality, my other one that is not my phone one is crappier than this and I wanted to get all of what I had in the shot. (which I have the game mat, estimated 150+ cards I think, some being duplicates).

I would keep them if you enjoy them. If not, you can sell them, but don't expect to get rich.

I might play a game with my friend and that to see about keeping them. And not looking too much to get rich off of them. If I can at least get a good sum of money I can use towards getting a few more models of my armies in the games I play, then I can consider that I won a small moral victory I'd say.

Oh, holy crap! I have these same cards!

I'd say keep them. They're fun to pull out every once in a while, especially when people start to get into it and begin to design their own decks.

I have to read up on the rules again, but yeah! Sure it may be dead but it seems like a good game to play once in a while and that.

Oh, it's super dead - 6 feet under and pushing up daisies. But with a copy of shovels, plenty of fun can be had!

...Which sounds really creepy out of context.

The only problem I have is that the playmat that came in the starter I got is falling apart. I wonder if I know anyone handy enough with wood to do some sort of game board...

I think that is what I might plan for me next as a fallback and that.

Coming back to this, does anyone know of any third party boards for the actual arena? Or should I pick up another of the starter sets and laminate the arena that come with it?

Update:

Oh hey, will you look at that?

This is one of those games that I cannot bring myself to get rid of. Every time I look at it, I hear a voice in the back of my head telling me that there is an awsome game there, I just have to figure out the two or three tweaks that are going to make it great. Its going to be one of those things that flashes before my eyes as I'm falling off of a cliff. "Yeah, those changes would have done it!" " Uh-Oh!".

Any suggestions so I can enjoy this game now?

Well I would say get a friend and see if you two would enjoy a game or two of this, maybe even more if I remember how to do the Multiplayer rules.

Also, I saw the Miniature Market selling (Imagine that huh?) http://www.miniaturemarket.com/collectible-card-games/anachronism.html
