Not interested in space station or hellscape.

Just want a really high quality textured grass/sand board with some rocky detail.

Dune-style desert board would also be really nice.

So, you're going to make blank flat boards as well? Quite interested in that if the price point is nice.

We are hoping Next week or the week after. Should show you some more awesome things soon . It has taken a long time. But we decided to take the route to get everything ready enough so. When we mass produce there will be no delays and dispatched on time to our future KS backers. We want to insure our promises are kept.

That is something we are looking into and will announce. Price point is key and agreed. We want these battle boards and everything we do as accessible as many people possible.

What are prices looking like for us UK residents as it seems mainly all dollars?

They're a UK company, so I'd imagine they'll be fairly reasonable.

Their paint racks are £15 for instance, with free shipping at £30, I'd imagine £75 shipped or maybe a bit less if they hit their price point, with a discount for the Ks backers, so, maybe £60?

The Hobby Gears Paint Rack on your left we put some work in progress models on, so once you have built your infantry models you can neatly place them on the Hobby Gears Rack, waiting to be painted. For large miniatures we put them on the Games & Gears Gaming Tray. In Hobby Gears Paint Rack in the middle filled it up with paint pots and filled some on the Hobby Gears paint Rack on the right side too.

Back to the battle boards: Prices and rewards levels to be announced next week. Also, FWIW, If I didn't already have customs racks made, I'd be all over your ones.

We want to leave the "Freaky" road as is. Gamers can quickly paint of over if they want a change or ink it. Its pretty easy to do and does not take that much time.

These flat boards are completely pointless. You can get the same level of texture by scoring insulation foam with a pencil and it'll cost you maybe $20 for a 6x4. Either make some real texture or don't even bother.

1067 Hell Yes's and growing disagree. But feel free to make your own. There is depth to the battle boards... just not crazy depth to imbalance your models on the board and at times miniatures fall over, we've been through this . Also to add to it there is the Games & Gears Warsmith Terrian Line

There is a ton of beautiful texture and we are looking forward to launching soon!

1,395 Actual backers (rather then Facebook clickers) seem to think that a bit of depth is rather nice. That 'Anime' board could use with a bit more depth and detail in it, especially in the sidewalk/drainage area. Having those field stones in the road with a bit of roundness would make it look worlds better as well. Right now you're not really doing anything that couldn't be done with a Laser Cutter on MDF.

But feel free to make your own.

Warsmith Terrian Line

You should do this with your product names, would you be happy with someone making a line of items called 'GamesNGears'?

We have discussed the above in great length, not sure why you keep bringing it up. People have seen it @ Gen Con and other places and we have had overwhelming great feedback. Over 500 sign ups with our Dorpzone Commander board alone at Gen Con. If you love something else fine by us. But you have made your point many times over again.

We have had the "Warsmith" name for a long time. Were not aware of that one till you mentioned it. We are very busy making products and not always aware of what else is going on...

We really do not like to repeat what already has been repeated. Nor do we want to derail the focus. You made your point.

So back on the focus:

So you claim a trademark without even researching it? Google is not difficult, and the Real Warsmith shows up pretty easily when you type it into Google.

Depends a criticism is always a healthy thing.

I understand the advantages of having a flat terrain, in gameplay and stackability, but the depth difference between pavement and road seems alien to be every time I looked at it.

Yes, I have seen in at GenCon looks great, but the depth troubled me.

I will admit the Anima board looks good at an angle, giving the illusion of depth, but in the ground pictures it looks odd.

On a completely different subject you should do something for your paint racks like a storage unit so we can place them like a stare one behind the other.

Absolutely, but we think we have gone over the point several times.

There was very little depth at that time and very many no depth in road vs pavements at all in some cases. Although ANIMA does have depth but not as much as a present day street. If it was a present day street we would go much deeper.

I think the boards have a lot of potential, more pictures / videos are needed first. I had a look at your facebook page and noticed previously you mentioned doing bases in the same style as the boards - what an excellent idea. I'm quite hopeful that these boards will do just what i am looking for.

I should have stated I was thinking of your sci fi boards and modern pavements since I am a sci fi gamer mostly.

No problem! . That was what we are discussing (ANIMA)

The Sci-Fi Board road vs (Dropzone Commander) depth and detail are as per as Instruction from Hawk Wargames. Their game is on a smaller scale, for DZC, EPIC 40k and Robotech players.

However an extra 1mm deep might make the difference for the rest (need to check with Hawk first) . We have played a lot of 40k and infinity on it. Doesn't bother us, but totally understand at the same time .

Since we make these we are felxible to a degree as long as our partners are ok with it. They are pretty awesome. So ..
