I have set up my WarpStone Wanderers Skaven Team and they are just tearing up the competition. Love the point when you can just get an opening to get a gutter runner down the wing in one! How do people play the Ogres though? I bought the Ogre team from the GW site but have doubts that I'm playing it right. Do we really only need to field the number supplied or do we need to make it up to 11 in Snotlings/Goblins? (I have found the old Goblin alternative as Snotlings just seem pathetic!)

The Ogres are one of the harder teams to play (not quite as bad as Goblins or Halflings, though)

This site has some advice you might find useful.

Also if you want to get more Ogres in future, it might bebetter to buy the plastic Ogre Kingdoms models and do some mild conversion work, the metal BB Ogres are REALLY expensive.

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

Ogres are, in my opinion, playable only as a fluff team. The Ogres themselves with be able to get XP easy enough just by hitting people, but you are often outnumbered very quickly on the pitch cause even elves kick around the snotlings.

If you want to be competitive, look elsewhere (like almost anywhere else). If you want a challange, or just want to try to kill other people's star players for pleasure or so a buddy can win (seen this before), this is a team to check out.

Ogres are the worst team besides Halflings.

The game is highly slanted towards who has the most agility, which ogres just don't have where it counts.

Yeah that's why I left the gobbos in rather than the snotlings, felt the snotlings made them just too rubbish!

Oddly enough, for bashy teams though, Ogres are not a team you look forward to playing. You know you're gonna win, you just aren't sure if all your best LOS guys are gonna live through the match.

You will be frustrated with ogres for all the opposite reasons you love what gutters can do

Aurora SMs in 5th Ed (18 wins, 3 draws, 13 losses)

I love the models though but yeah very frustrating! Just had an ogre related mishap and have had to pin all the models back together! We did just have an interesting Dark Elf versus Orc game, was close but the Dark Elves won in the end. Best games still involve the Skaven.
