On page 86 of the Space Wolves codex, the Wolf Guard have the option to swap out all of their gear for Terminator Armor, a Storm Bolter, and a Power Weapon.
Did I miss something in the FAQ? If not, can I take Logan + Wolf Guard as Troops, give the Wolf Guard power axes, and have it cost 33 points per model?

Why is this even a question? The codex allows you to take precisely that.

Are you just asking if their power weapons can be power axes? And if that's the question, the answer is yes provided you model it that way.

I accept that sometimes the rules just don't make sense. Welcome to wargaming!

Frost Axes aren't unwieldy.

Still not worth 10 pts for +1S AP3, but still, you get to strike at normal Initiative value and that can be huge sometimes.

Yes, they are. They also aren't Str +1.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

An yes, looked in the FAQ, but missed the updated profile.

Well, I'd say there's no point to Frost Axes when Power fists are usually the same price....but to each their own....

They aren't? They lost the Str +1 for being a Frost Axe, or is this just for their weapon profile? (Which I've long wondered if they got +1S for being a Power Weapon of the axe type, on top of their +1S included in the 'Frost Sword/Frost Axe' rules.)

Wouldn't that mean that Frost Swords are infinitely better, though?

They get the +1S as indicated, aren't Unwieldy and AP3 is still decent. (Whereas what I'm getting here is that a Frost Axe just became a Power Axe without the strength bonus.)

Frost Axes are +2 Str, Unwieldy and give you +1 attack with a pistol provided you're not in terminator armor.
Frost Swords are +1 Str and give you +1 attack with a pistol provided you're not in terminator armor.
Power Fists are 2x Str Unwieldy, specialist

I believe the FAQ says that any type of Frost weapon is the power weapon of appropriate type with an additional +1 str.

A Frost sword is a +1str power sword. And a frost axe is +2 str axe instead of just +1.

It doesn't actually say that. It just gives separate profiles for Frost Blades and Frost Axes.
