Hey all, recently I found this game http://www.ironhands.com/gundamsog.htm
on the Ironhands site and it seems simple and fun enough to play.

http://www.ironhands.com/MSera.htm

The Strategy of Gundam figures are discontinued, there's the Converge line but they are deformed-type, and then there's the Gundam Assault Kingdom that has just started with completely articulated figures, however sales for it have been low so it seems that they might discontinue it soon. Now I know I love me some gundam, and there's lots of people here who will share that sentiment, I am sure (looking at you, Tau players )

So this thread's point is twofold, to either help spread the word about the gaming possibilities of Gundams and hopefully get other people interested so that their sales go up just enough for them to continue the line, which would be great, or at least help me and others find an alternate solution.

Well then, I leave it up to you guys to comment!

There are still plenty of the Gashapon figures around, and you could always use substitutes I suppose.

As was said above, Gundam Gashapon should still be available via ebay and maybe HLJ. A few gamers intersted isn't going to save a major toy line from being discontinued, so as with any toy that you want for gaming , better buy what you can now.

Also, Ironhands.com is one of my favorite sites. I've been following them since the mid 90's when it was just "Necromundicon". Sean's Terrain from junk and bits creations and techniques are the foundation of how I build now.

The "Gundam Battle System" is still around as well.
http://alt-world.com/alt-world/gundambattlesystem/gundammsbs/indexa.html

The first edition of the rules used 40k 3rd/4th edition rules with the Mobile Suit stats similar to Dreadnoughts with stat bonuses for the pilots skills.

The second edition uses Lord of the Rings/War of the Ring style rules I believe.

The game is centered around around the use of MSIA action figures but any Gashapon figures could be used really.

Plenty other rules work well for them too, mechdoom, mech attack, mekaton, or for things like combined arms give things like Fubar or Tomorows war a go.

I wouldn't mind giving some of these rules a go, and finding the one I like best.

Tommorows War

I can't actually find the link for mechdoom if its even still around. Probably plenty of other good mecha/combined arms with mechs rules around too I've missed though

Mekton is still available too. It's very anime robot'ish, has combat, and even had a line of miniatures, but is as much an RPG as a tabletop game.
You can get all the books via RPGdrivethru.
