Hi All

I currently run a DW army and want to add in some scouts, the only issue i have is that i am also considering adding BA Allies to my army, and in that case the scouts would become part of the BA army, but i still want the flexibility to keep them with the DW too.

Does anyone know of any colour schemes that i could paint my scouts in so that fit in with both armies relatively well?

Thanks

I'd say not to use any colour similar to the 2 armies they'll be in, I know it sounds backwards but I think it would work well. Or use neutral colours like grey and then have a small amount of colour from both armies. Like on shoulders etc?

Fair enough. I was considering just going black and grey and possibly a camo-ey green

I would go for a camo look with no markings. In the HH novels there are descriptions of scouts being in place, patently observing the enemy well before the main attack. They would not be doing this in the normal day glow space marine colours

Or go for like black and grey then do a Green/Red digital camo on the cloaks...

Red details would tie into both chapters. Maybe even red shoulders, but that might be too close to tying them to BA.

Yeah, they are scouts so you could just paint them some sort of camouflage, whether it be desert, forest, arctic or urban. You could also paint them black with some other details as both armies include black in their colour schemes ( Deathwing and Death company)

In what environment would red and green camouflage help you blend in to your surroundings

How to paint Skeletons the way I do if that's something you'd fancy trying.

Even though my models are based on sand (I only have like 10 based though) i really like that idea, maybe they could hide in a strawberry bush or something, or something a bit more viable, their cloaks have malfunctioned and gone red and green, and that would explain why they are camping back field and in terrain to hide, but are still visible (I always thought that scouts should be invisible like in DoW because its the 41st millennium and all, and this reason works for me)

I like it

Or you could add some red alien flora to the sandy base. This will link the red camo to the base and help the suspension of disbelief.
