Fair enough, though I will probably grab it eventually (might be my last skill I grab though, including the living ones) Ankle grab has solved most of my stand up woes.

http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Death_cultist I have been opposed to death cultism from the beginning, citing it as a part of the delusional neurosis afflicting harmanz (the worst cases of which self-identify as "survivors"). But I also see a tendency among the Nurglings to avoid transmortal tactics, which is simply the contradictory disorder. The clearest example is asking for death from fellow Nurglings. Any Nurgling who finds her- or himself revived should simply press on with the cause. But there has arisen a tendency to feel useless and vulnerable and want to escape back into animated death as soon as possible. This is what is truly meant by "the needle is anti-barhah." What is NOT meant is that the needle is the irresistible nemesis of barhah. Anti-barhah is a state of mind -- again, the worst case possible is what I call the delusional neurosis of harmanz. This disorder manifests in obsessive compulsive and paranoid behaviors: stocking up weapons and supplies, claiming and fortifying territory, and ultimately genocidal aggression against zambahz. This last symptom marks the transition point between neurosis and psychosis. This delusional neurosis develops from obsession with the feeling of vulnerability. Freedom from that obsession, and ultimately from any feeling of vulnerability, is the true barhah path. Barhah itself is the brotherhood of fearless undeath. This is ultimately why I named us the Nurglings. Zambahz who become paralyzed, as it were, with the feeling of vulnerability upon being revivified have not experienced true barhah. I think this might be my fault, for overemphasizing the importance of undeath. We zambahz are not really about death or undeath -- barhah is more like the No Death. With barhah, the needle has no sting. I hope that made some sense.

If my undead corpse could shed tears, they'd be the manliest of tears. When I first started out, it was annoying to get hit with a needle, spend 10AP to stand up, do a little bit of stuff with my unleveled living side and then spend another 10 AP to stand up again. It made the game unfun because I would be wasting AP on a pointless needle, I was living in Malton as an zombie, being alive held little to no interest for me and Brain Rot was third or fourth on my list of upgrades to take. Thankfully, Ankle Grab and our time in Crowbank has given me the chance to be okay with the needle. I do not like the needle, I dislike when it is used on me, but while not welcoming of the needle, I am accepting of when a survivor wishes to 'save' me, and I do hope they are accepting when my living flesh strikes them just as much as my dead flesh . Once alive again and still infected by the glory of Father Nurgle, I would proceed about my business causing Chaos amongst the harmanz, showing them that the constant cycle of barricading, hunting for supplies, etc... has left them with nothing that could be considered existence. Look at the poor fools we left in Vinetown. We hunted, ate, and after they decided that our existence was anathema to their livelihood, and it became a chore to be a zambah in Vinetown, so we left. Death Cultists might be fun, I do not wish harm upon harmanz, simply wish to share our unlives with them, to show them that Malton contains more than just barricades, gennys and FAKs.

Yeah, it's a tough situation. I wrote this on our wiki page a long while back: While the Nurglings venerate brain rot as an act of the most significant commitment to barhah they do not hold that it is a reliable path to barhah. As Pitman warned, it can also be a prison that prevents the realization of barhah.
But there is a way forward. As you mentioned, there is a difference between having the rot and the reasons why you chose it.

I have come to except that, and it is not for me to regret my reasons, to act on my actions. And now I must fully embrace my unlife fully, and use it to spread barhah to others.

Alfndrate wrote:I do not wish harm upon harmanz, simply wish to share our unlives with them
By contrast, I do wish harm on them. It is not only the case that harmanz currently outnumber zambahz by nearly 2 to 1 but also roughly 69% of all harmanz are zambah hunters. This basically means that significantly more than half of all harmanz, even when adjusting for (the negligible amount of) active death cultists, have transitioned from delusional neurosis to psychosis -- and furthermore that their genocidal aggression has been and remains effective. You can see the effect this disorder has on the landscape: generators without fuel and powered-down radios sitting in abandoned, barricaded buildings stretching across entire suburbs. To this, the Nurglings say Tear It Down, Break It Apart, Smear It, Smash It, Bash It, Trash It, Chew Their Flesh and Swallow Their Brains. Play on the fears that drove them insane until they can't take it anymore and finally, hopefully they can see past it and join us. By "us" I don't mean the Nurglings -- I mean the brotherhood of fearless undeath, barhah. I mean, as bad as it is to spend 49 AP to successfully bash cades only 8 times ... imagine the despair you face spending 49 AP to find 8 clips when you have no pistol or the like. There is a reason these "people" are nuts!

You are inside Julie General Hospital, its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape. The building has been very strongly barricaded. Also here are Autumm Isabel, Sentinel360, CandiceAnne, blurex, suidream, Lucy Emrissah, Milworm, Powyel, Vermaat, Ashoreth, general shepard, Big JD and hegel5000. Come oooon...sah maneh harmanz. 13 all told, for I am not one of them. That is an unlucky number for the breathers. You know you want to do it. I'm going to try and tear the barricades down from the inside later tonight. Come my brethren. Lets get eating.

Julie General Hospital looks like a great place to eat.
I don't have enough AP today so I will try to crack in on Monday at the normal time.
Thanks for such a superb dinner recommendation!!
You are standing outside Julie General Hospital, an imposing concrete building with black crosses painted across its doors. The building has been quite strongly barricaded.
Lights are on inside.
Somebody has spraypainted Join the Knights Templar today! onto a wall.
There are three dead bodies here. You recognise Mr Janje and Undead Gary the Thug.
You smash at the barricade. Part of it collapses.

On my way to Julie now, stumbled across a lonely Knights Templar so battered him down a bit...
You are standing outside a junkyard, a patch of wasteland surrounded by a tall wire fence. A hole in the fencing has been very strongly barricaded. Also here is Stan The Chopper (2HP).
There is another zombie here.
There are two dead bodies here. You recognise FireFighter1998.
Gripping Stan The Chopper by the shoulders, you crush them for 3 damage. They drop to 2 HP
