Subject: Rule questions: Cover, LOS and tank shock

Hello, first post here
Just a question about LOS and Cover that came up in a recent game.
Space marines (blue) are behind a wall (black line) that compleatly blocks LOS. 2 SM are slightly outside the wall. Some of the orcs (green circles above the grey line) can see 1 SM, but some others (below the dotted line) can see 2.
Does the entire unit of orks gets to shoot at the entire unit of space marines, and then allocate wounds to the 2 SM outside cover or can they only allocate wounds to 1 of them?
Tank shock: Can someone explain to me how it works if you tank shock an enemy unit, your tank ends up in the middle of said unit, and they pass their LS? I'm not sure how your suppose to place the enemy modes that would end up underneath the tank. Within 1 inch of the tank? Cant you always just place the models that would end up beneath the tank within 1 inch of it?
Thanks!

LOS : The ork unit has LOS to at least one model in the SM unit, therefore the entire Ork unit can fire (assuming they are all in range. if not, then only those in range may fire). However, you may only allocate wounds to models in the target unit that are in LOS, so 2 of the marines can be wounded.

Any Ork that has range to a space marine it can see gets to shoot (page 13). Any Space Marine that can be seen by any Ork can be allocated a wound (page 15), but any Space Marine that is 25%+ obscured from any firing Ork gets a Cover Save (page 16).

Wrong, each model must have LOS to at least one model in the target unit, otherwise it may not fire

Right. And in the picture above the entire ork unit has LOS to at least one model (as I said), so they may all fire. /scratchesheadinconfusion.
I guess I'm just not clear enough in my answers?

Because you said "unit", when the rule requires each model to have LOS.
We were making sure it was clear that you check on a *model* basis

Breaking it down perfectly. Everything correct, everything covered, everything referenced.

So lets say only 3 of the orks could see any of the space marine models, then only thoes 3 could fire?
And if 1 of those 3 could see 2 SM then ALL 3 of them can allocate wounds to thoes two marines?

You MUST have LOS from the firing model to the target unit, otherwise it cannot fire.
Any model being able to see a target model means that model can have a wound allocated to it. Page 16 out of sight is very clear on this

Page 85 explains how to handle Tank Shocks, and in the upper-right corner is a paragraph dealing with models ending up 'underneath' the end position of the tank (it doesn't matter if they are falling back or not).
