Bikernob fail.

Failing a dangerous terrain test when the painboy is around isnt that big of a deal cuz you then have a 4+ armor and FNP to try and ignore the wound (my last game i actually failed 15 dangerous terrains with the bikers but FNP'd 9 of the 13 that went by the armor)

However a couple weeks ago i was running 6 nobbikers + warboss on bike and got focus fired by snipers. He rolled a ton of precision shots and they all went on the boss (why the boss and not the painboy i have no idea) and i wiffed the 2+ look out sirs on 5 of 6 precisions, and only saved 3 of the precisions.
Seeing as how i wanted to prevent him from nabbing a free Warlord kill, and he was scoring that game thx to warlord traits, i made him turn around and book it across the table to camp a backfield objective. Failed the movement dangerous terrain test, but saved it...turbo boosted...failed again and he died.

Well my personal favorite happened with DE. I still use my wych list in 6th because I like it. I run 5 wych squads in twin splinter cannon venoms. Well I disembark a squad to prepare for assault and the venom fires those 12 shots to soften up the target squad. I take the 12 dice, roll aaand... ten 1's... and the two shots that hit rolled 1's to wound. 3 wyches obliterated in overwatch. We got a good laugh out of my rolls though.

Seems like every time I roll to run it ends up being a one.

Less 1's and more 2's for me. Mostly why I don't enjoy playing my Space Marines any more since almost every game I'd roll a stupid amount of 2's when I really didn't need them. Mostly for armour saves or trying to murder something of choice. My commander is still the worst example of this - 2+/3++ and he always gets murdered by small-arms fire.

i remember after a moment of venting my rage at the fool that he has preferred enemy imperial guard i roll again... 1

safe to say i wasn't sad when the idiot got orbital bombarded he deserved it for betraying me!

A squad of Terminators are about to get into my Guard line. I move my Demolisher Tank and take a risky shot of potentially scattering into my guys but am reward with a direct hit. Feeling good I roll to wound and of course 4 out of 5 are ones and he passes his 5 up invul just for good measure.

Rolling 1s aren't always that bad~

I had a blob of 20 Khorne Dogs with 2 Heralds in it.
Lost almost everything in CC since it was up against like a Furiso Dreadnought, Mephiston, Termie Squad, assault squad.

Rolled double ones for Daemonic Instability!
Blink of reality!!

So yeah~

Worst one that I've remembered is that I wanted 1 of my 2 fliers to come in from reserves.

a friend of mine has rage quit several times after his squad of termies dies to Slugga fire.

in a different game, he almost rage quit after rolling 3 ones on the penetration table (5th ed so no Hull points) that was until i told him it still wrecked my Trukk. the weapon was ap2, trukks are open topped. a 1 becomes a 3, the next becomes a 4, (only one weapon) and the final 1 bacame a 5. the ramshackle roll sweetened the deal for him, as i Kareened into my own mob and got a 6 inch explosion.

That happens way too often for me too.

Guardsmen fire at Terminators, only one wound from a lasgun. Rolling a 1 is inevitable.

So many examples.


Most recently,we had a campaign and I ran a termie heavy force for a game.Never have I seen so many 1's against high ( or should that be low ) AP shooting and then in combat as well.

I run my DE Ravagers mainly for amusements sake, after tons of games they have scored maybe 1-2 vehicle kills :(
