.... yeah but you see you can fire all the flux arcs at a seperat target so you target then resolve then target and resolve after firing the Flux Arcs then you can fire the Particle whip and you'll be fine. Shooting Sequence page 12 BRB

I never forget a face.... but in you case ill make an exception.....

Gauss Flux Arcs allow you to split your fire -- but you still have to resolve these shooting attacks concurrently. When a unit with Split Fire wrecks a transport, the remaining shots from that unit cannot be directed the squad that just disembarked. This is because these attacks are supposed to occur at the same time. A single unit cannot fire its weapons in sequence.

For the same reason, you have to treat your vehicle as firing all its weapons concurrently. Split Fire does not allow a vehicle to ignore the restrictions of Ordnance weapons, and neither do Gauss Flux Arcs. In effect, you either have to forgo firing your Particle Whip, or your have to snap fire your Flux Arcs. If you've fired your Flux Arcs at full BS, you don't get to use an ordnance weapon that turn.

That's incorrect. The FAQ could state "Replace all text with the entry for the Annihilation Barge, including points cost." Then it would be sweet!

All joking aside, the utility of the Monolith paired with the effectiveness of AV14 in the current environment do not make it a terrible choice, just not the best.

Would that be FAQ or Errata at that point?

I agree with this. I haven't found to prefect list for it, but AV 14 living metal mobile LOS blocking DS capable units are not bad in 6th edition, particularly ones that can teleport any unit in your army, drop 8/3 pie plates, and have secondary weapons that can inflict damage to any unit in the game.

A Mono's weapons are more deadly against a blob (regardless of what kind of blob, but take IG for instance) then two ABarges. Considering that blobs in 6th edition are like Mech in 5th, that alone should give people reason to reconsider it. People are just stuck in 5th edition mindsets where the first thing they consider is "how does it do against vehicles"...or the early 6th edition red herring "how does it do against flyers." The reality of 6th edition that the top players (read: Tony, MVB) have started to embrace but the neckbeards are still catching up to, is that massive blobs of wounds and the ability to kill massive blobs of wounds are really what define a list in 6th edition.
