Ok, I wanted to make a fluffy type list with Abaddon as the warlord, I love that he got FAQ'd to be too cool to become a daemon prince. I figured that I would try to have at least one of every mark in the army since Abaddon has them all, it will also include a defiler since it was Abaddon that first had them made.

Here we go:

Abaddon - 265
Chaos Lord - MoK, Axe of Blind Fury, Terminator Armor, VoLW - 155

Troops

5 Chaos Space Marines - add CCWs for all, MoN, VoLW - 105
5 Chosen - add CCWs for all, MoN, VoLW - 125
6 Khorne Berserkers - all with Chainaxes, VoLW, Icon of Wrath - 163

Elites

4 Chaos Terminators - 2 with lightning claw and combi-plasma, one with powerfist and combi-plasma, champ with chainfist and combi-plasma, MoT, VoLW, Land Raider (dozer blade, dirge caster) - 451
5 Noise Marines - Blastmaster, VoLW - 130

Fast Attack

Heldrake - Baleflamer - 170

Heavy Support

Defiler - stock - 195

1,999 total points.

Abaddon joins his termie buddies and the lord goes with the berserkers in the other land raider turn 1, both push forward and just generally wreck the enemy lines. CSM and Chosen move to midfield to slow enemy advance, while blastmaster, defiler and heldrake kill whatever they can reach. I doubt this list is very competitive, but I wanted to use Abaddon in list with every mark in it and thought this might be fun to play. I'll be trying ti out this weekend, so I'll let you know how it goes.

I wish Abaddon also unlocks Plague, Khorne, Noise, and 1ksons but limits them to 1 of each so that you can have Chaos Undivided and not spam just Plague Marines or Noise.

So more fluff and less competitive?

You can try to take 4 Different CSM groups each with a different mark.

I dispute that. As a solid player of CSM, I can tell you that the objective is ALWAYS to do as much killing, maiming and burning as possible, regardless of logical strategy or position-holding.

I had thought about that. I almost did all chosen groups with different marks and different weapon load outs and I still might. I personally really wish he unlocked terminators as troops since that's who he lead when he was first captain. But alas the codex can only follow so much fluff I guess.

The rumor was that he did unlock termies but alas it twas just a rumor. I had 15 termies ready rock.
