In the BRB FAQ, it states that psychic powers cannot be mixed and matched from the Psychic Disciplines in the BRB and codex psychic disciplines. Does this only refer to those found in older codices, such as Eldrad Ulthran's psychic powers, or does this similarly limit, for example, Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons, who have access to both codex and BRB disciplines?

Death Guard - "The Rotmongers"
Chaos Space Marines - "The Sin-Eaters"
Dark Angels - "Nemeses Errant"

Unless specifically allowed to mix powers by their codex, psykers cannot mix powers.

Pretre has it.
On page 70 of the CSM Codex (if you happen to have that available for a look), there is an example of a Sorcerer taking a mixture of Codex and BRB powers. In fact it's impossible for a Marked Sorcerer with Mastery two or three not to mix Codex and BRB powers. So I'd say that it applies mainly to pre-6th Codexes.

I thought that was the case, but the most recent FAQ didn't have the usual "unless otherwise specified." Then again, codices override BRB, so...

Either way, that answers the question. Thank you!
