Hey Dakka peeps
I hope this is in the right spot but
I've heard that most of the Tyranid creatures and Hive Fleets haven't reached the (don't know what it's called) but the sector that the rest of the armies hang out in
but what other creatures could possibly be coming?

Tyranid creatures are highly unstandardized. The Hive Mind will churn out new beasts based on the terrain of the world. The array of beasts seen in the game are just the most commonly encountered Tyranid creatures, and to give players something to work with.
But the book Ice Guard is a good example with this. You had Tyranid sniper-beasts, giant centipedes, giant spiders, and so on.

Though they might add pretty little to a war game, I've wondered where are the giant plant-eating creatures in the tyranid arsenal? Plenty of flora needs to be consumed, and the usual tyranid life forms seem inadequate for the task. Rippers sorta cover that, but hideous bio-harvesters that strip areas of forest actually could be kinda cool game-wise for removing certain terrain types.

The Hive Mind is constantly learning and evolving. With each race/creature it absorbs it learns something new. These new traits are passed on to the field troops.
Zoanthropes - Eldar
Biovores - Ork
Warriors - Space Marines
I'm sure a list is given in one of the old Tyranid books, I think it was the one with this as the cover.
I'm hoping that whatever arrives next in the Galaxy isn't more 'nids, but whatever they were fleeing from. (Postulated)

A world's flora is mutated by microscopic nids organism to accelerate growth, so that the harvesting will yield the best bio-mass result. I think the new flora also churns out a lot of toxic micro-spores to poison the world's inhabitant.

Pure fan spank and speculation. Seems to be mostly thrown out now given the whole "the Tyranids are throwing a dozen galaxies worth of biomass at us and everyone everywhere is going to die and there's nothing you can do to stop it" line.
Currently the theme of 40k seems to be "no matter what the Imperium, Eldar, or Tau do, evil will prevail and everyone will die and it will be horrible."

The... Milky Way Galaxy? Is that the word you're looking for? That's where all the rest of the armies hang out. It is further divided into Segmentums, Sectors and Sub-Sectors... by the Imperium. No one else cares what the Imperium calls it.
As to what's coming? More bugs. Probably new models, as their frontlines are getting chewed up. I'm expecting something Lovecraftian to come swooping out of the Halo Stars and take a big bite out of a Hive Fleet one day.

The 6th edition rulebook flatout states the majority of the Tyranids have not reached the Milky Way yet.
The fluff about the 'running from something worse' is a bit of speculation put in by GW to keep their origins mysterious. Considering they've already stopped by 12 galaxies before ours to have a mid flight buffet, I don't think they're running, because the last thing an intelligent organism does in 'fight or flight' mode is stop at a diner for a snack.

This isn't a single organism on the run from a single predator through the forest. This an entire species, traveling through entire galaxies. Every time a Tyranid so much as twitches, a little bit of energy is spent; that's pretty much how all animals work. Now imagine they're flying through goddamn galaxies, traveling through billion of miles. And even if they travel peacefully, the Imperium is going to attack them, and so will the countless other Xenos inhabiting the galaxy. Tyranids are going to die, and ships are going to explode like water balloons fill of blood and slime and tiny little insects.
If something is chasing the Tyranids, they're going to seek food along the way, or their going to starve.

It's hard to believe that anything more is coming. I believe it was stated that Tyranids was clumsy and awkward killers at first then they had arrived. Now, they have evolved far closer to perfection, meaning they are now more advanced. If anything comes then it will be outdated model of old tyranids which will be more of a waste of bio-mass compared to that they could grow now. Another thing, it's hard to believe that tyranids do not know of that creatures it consists. If they ever had created something useful then I think that they would have already used it on us.

There's no way to know either way until GW decides to advance the fluff in a significant manner, therefore it's a non-issue.

No, it was stated that Behemoth's overall strategy consisted of throwing itself entirely against what stood up in it's way, and that was the reason it was so 'easily' defeated. A brighter Hive Fleet would have felt in advance the danger of attacking Ultramar and would have avoided it until it was much stronger.
Another thing, it's hard to believe that tyranids do not know of that creatures it consists. If they ever had created something useful then I think that they would have already used it on us.
Hive Fleets do not seem to share all of their ideas.

Fleets which already are introduced to us are huge enough that we could say that Tyranids will not pull anything new. I highly doubt that any other fleet will be any more advanced than those who already are here. Even more, somehow far more advanced hive fleet just happens to be here at very convenient time. That is just bad writing. GW can just make tyranids evolve if they wish to, not just pull out something that bizarre and unbelievable. No, it was stated that Behemoth's overall strategy consisted of throwing itself entirely against what stood up in it's way, and that was the reason it was so 'easily' defeated. A brighter Hive Fleet would have felt in advance the danger of attacking Ultramar and would have avoided it until it was much stronger. Knowing tyranids, that might also be a sign of evolution. But I meant a different thing: The Tyranids are without a doubt the most rapidly evolving creatures in the galaxy. The Magos Biologis of Mars have observed developmental DNA leaps between broods originating from different hive fleets that would take other beasts millions of years to achieve. It appears that the Tyranid 'Norn Queens' or primogenitor organisms aboard the hive ships are capable of modifying their progeny in response to the environment and life-forms they encounter. Newly harvested genetic codes are assimilated, the prey's defensive measures are examined, and improved creatures are bio-engineered to overcome that resistance. Over time the myriad improvements to the hive fleet's genepool are melded with others, strengthening the entire race. A case in point is to observe the degree of integration of the Tyranid's symbiote weapons. At first these were relatively crude and were carried and employed, however distastefully, by the creatures that used them like a gun or a sword. In later encounters Tyranids have exhibited, more and more frequently, weaponry meshed directly into the creatures carrying them. Now it has become impossible to tell where the Tyranid warrior ends and its weapon symbiotes begin. I think we can be assured that the Norn Queens will continue to work tirelessly towards more and more perfectly adapted for killing the inhabitants of this galaxy just as they have in others before ours. Simply put, over the coming centuries we may be out-evolved to the point of extinction.

The number of Tyranids in the galaxy is meant to be the start. The largest swarms are still outside of the galaxy,
Tyranids likely do have new organisms they will use in the future, Dreadknights, Landraider Promethius, Stornravens. All meant to be ancient things which have shown up recently.
During Tyranid battles with the Orks spies have reported new and more dangerous creatures appearing. The implication of the new creatures saying the battle with the Orks would turn out worse for everyone as new creatures were being evolved.
Also there is every chance that the Tyranids are using newer and nastier critters, there may simply of been no survivors of such encounters.

Genestealers and Lictors, one would assume. Genestealers might work differently. Or not, if the Orks keep human slaves around town.

It can be many more tyranids arriving to this galaxy or just a few. I doubt that they would consider all arriving to same galaxy even more, last ones possibly will not get any biomass, just because they are late. I think that they spread to all sides after devouring a galaxy.
Once again, if tyranids have something up their sleeve, then they would grow that thing in hive ships then it would be needed. Tyranid fleets has been witnessed to evolve a lot meaning, their previous models will be just a crude and primitive versions of that they could do now.
