Not sure about the ski boots though. A tad too chunky for the "light desert warfare raider" kinda theme? Unless there's some fluff reason I don't know about...
Advanced Terrain: Indestructible, pre-painted 28mm games terrain.

My reason for large boots was twofold:
1 - It looks Scifi!
2 - Large boots help with traversing rough terrain / sand, because they give you more surface area on the soles of your boots, granting greater traction.
You can decide yourself which element was more important to me, heh.
They look cool, but the chain-cutlass is a little oversized and silly. If it was more 'realistic' it would fit the aesthetic better.
Love the Autoguns for the troopers though! Autoguns and autopistols all round would make some very happy gamers!

You will receive eighty Light Infantry Riflemen. You will also decide what the "Light Infantry Troopers" army will be called. The name you pick will appear on all blister packs and our website. Will they be the Daring Desert Dragoons? Will they be the Willful Wilderness Warriors? Will they be the Cowboy Farmer Potato Eaters? You decide! We'll (probably) reject offensive names, and ask you to pick a less offensive name Please don't call them the Cowboy Farmer Potato Eaters!

If the 25 troopers level included some special weapon arms options, and Commander, I'd be in like a shot. These are very nice.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Or even maybe an 'Upgrades pack' to allow creating specials and command squads would work? I'd chip in another £5-10 for upgrade bitz.

Upgrade packs & leader/support weapon sets are priority #1 after we get the basic riflemen funded.
By making the bodies modular, such upgrades are going to be (comparatively) quick to produce, because all we need to sculpt are extra arms holding guns, rather than full humans.

I'd say dump the "chain scimitar" concept and give them teched up scimitars. That's one less point of convergence with C&D happy GW, and, should anyone want to use these models as a proxy for imperial guard, they have the option of painting them as steel swords (which have the same rules effect as chainswords), or as colored power weapons.
