Hi

I recently purchased a Blood Maw from Mierce, and was surprised that despite the picture used on the store, to find it came with a round base

Now 100mm round bases aren't exactly hard to find, but I intend to use it with my Warhammer Fantasy figures, therefore I need a square base, while I understand the obvious solution is to buy a 150mm by 100mm base, I feel that would be a tad large, and would prefer a hundred by hundred millimeter base

Also since the service was excellent and the model, despite the base problems and needing to glue every individual tooth, is actually gorgeous I intend to buy from them again in future, but here I run into another problem, you see there are two models I intend to get next, the Baleful Vasilisk, which has a 150mm round base, and Kadamaster, a gargantuan crocodile model which it claims has a 150mm base, but appears to actually be almost 250mm long and at least 150 wide

So is there anywhere I can get bases for these models? As I am terrible at making my own scenic ones from movement trays, I will if forced but would prefer to avoid that situation

Honestly, I'd email them

I think their intent was to provide both, but as the Blood Maw is a 'bit' older model, it may have only had the circle one in it.

If they can't help you, you can bases from Gale Force 9 or Litko Aerosystems.

This is more of a Modelling query than discussions.

As mentioned Litko can cut you a base in any size you want even if they don't already make a 100mm square one.

However it should be easy to make a base from a sheet of plasticard. I would use 2mm and build it up with putty etc for added strength and to make a mini diorama.

Moving thread...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
