I was thinking lately about bringing some Tau as allies to my Eldar force to deal with AV 12/13 and some air.
I'm not sure whether it is a good loadout. At least it seems to be good.

HQ
Commander 160 pts
-Command and Control Node
-Multi-spectrum Sensor Suite
-Puretide Engram Neurochip
-XVS-02 Crisis 'iridium' Battlesuit
Troops
12 Fire Warriors 108 pts
Heavy
3x Broadside 282 pts
-6x Missle Drone
-2x Target Lock
-Early warning override

550 points

It turns out to be able to do loads of destruction.
24 TL S7 AP4, ignoring cover, with Monster/Tank Hunter shots which can shoot at 3 different targets.

Against AV 12 that's 10 hull points (or a little more than 3 against 3 targets)
Against AV 13 that's 5,5 hull points
Against flying AV 12 that's 4 hull points
Against flying T6 MC that's 6,5 wounds

Is there any way to optimize this unit even more? Possibly add some drones somewhere?

What does the OG stand for?

I'm not quite convinced on the Battlesuit.
Wouldn't it be better to spend those points on two shield-drones that stand in front of your 3 battlesuits, HQ and 6 missile drones?

It's a real shame that Drone Controller doesn't work on Missile Drones, otherwise that build would have a real awesome party.

It's more like an idea than an exact list.
This is an example which can/probably will be modified:

Spoiler:

Eldar
Eldrad (on first turns he casts fortune/guide on WW)
10 Harlequins (kisses, Shadowseer)
3x3 Jetbikes
2x3 Warwalkers (scatter lasers)
Aegis (quad gun)
Tau
same but 2 units of Fire Warriors one 11 man strong and other 10 man strong

1750 pts

It turns out to be a gunline army.

I get:
24 S7 shots
48 S6 shots
21-42 S5 shots
counter assault unit
psychic defence
2 home objective holders and 3 enemy objective one turn holders

Wouldn't it be better to spend those points on two shield-drones that stand in front of your 3 battlesuits, HQ and 6 missile drones?

What armour save do the drones have?

4+/4++
Unless I am really missing something, the broadsides have no ++-save.
And with a "low" toughness that means they die way too fast to Instant Death.

The Commander gets T5, but if he joins the Broadsides he will get downgraded to T4. So the only benefit is 2+, which isn't needed if he stands behind the guys.
In my opinion that's extremely expensive for such a small benefit.
Two drones with 4++ could be used to tank a few shots.

Or do you plan to put the Commander in front and let him tank the shots with his huge amount of wounds?

And the following depends on the meta, but I would upgrade one "Target Lock"-Broadside to a character and give him Advanced Target System instead of "Target Lock".
Sniping away special units has never been easier especially with both missile-weapons.
8 rockets:
2.67 precision strikes
1.33 hit
4 miss => reroll => 1.33 precision strike, 0.67 hit and 2 miss.
So with 8 rockets you will have 4 precision strikes, 2 normal hits and 2 misses. (2 are str7 and 2 str5)
That means a hiding Space Marine with an AP1/2-weapon (which would scare me) would get 3 wounds and that should be enough to get through his armour.

That brings us to:

Commander:
Command and Control
Multi-spectrum Sensor Suite
Puretide Engram Neurochip
2x Shield Drone

12x Fire Warrior with Pulse Rifle

2x Broadside Shas'ui
1x Early Warning Override
1x Target Lock
2x TL High-Yield Missiles
2x TL Smart Missiles
1x Broadside Shas'vre
1x Advanced Targeting System
1x TL High-Yield Missiles
1x TL Smart Missiles
6x Missile Drone

All of this for 557 points.

PS. Neuroweb System Jammer is a really good defensive system for only a pair of points!

Wait, changed my mind again
2 Broadsides Shas'ui with Target Lock
1 Broadside Shas'vre with Advanced Targeting System
1 Commander with Early Warning Override

This way you get all the bonuses.

It wouldn't work with the fluff

FYI the commander does bring the T5 like you said, and the unit counts as T4 for wounds, but if the commander eats a lascannon, he won't die, because he is T5. That is why people bring him, he tanks well. Unless you roll snakeeyes like I do.
