The Sisters of Silence were an all-female Imperial order of Witch Hunters. They were active during the time of the Great Crusade in the early 31st Millennium, and their purpose was to hunt and kill rogue human psykers whose activities presented a terrible danger to the people of the newborn Imperium of Man. Also known as the Silent Sisterhood and the Witchseekers, they were the militant arm of the Adeptus Astra Telepathica and were referred to internally within the records of the Adeptus Terra as the Departmento Investigates. The ultimate fate of the Sisters of Silence is not found in Imperial records, and no references to their continued existence in the era of the 41st Millennium exists.

Prolly all died off during the heresy, but....

I would love to see them make an appearance in a codex sometime, maybe the SoB if they ever get one or even as a mercenary unit, the idea of a bunch of crazy women running around nullifying all the godlike space wizards is pretty cool.

Better Sisters of Silence than another round of "space marines, but slightly different".

I second Melissa. HH marines are just more expensive and slightly different marines. Sisters Of Silence look very different to SOB from what I can tell, and hopefully any model they made of them would be less sexualised and cliched.

Even if they were just variants of Sisters of Battle, that'd still be better than yet another round of "space marines, but slightly different this time".


... I mean if that WAS the case, at least we'd have new Sisters models after almost twenty fething years...

Indeed. It is my goal to make threads in 40k BG that are the equivalent of the "unsolved mysteries" show regardless of the race/ army. It is because everyone loves an unsolved mystery and it encourages critical thinking and a ripping discussion.

Yes, what could have been a very good concept became dire and forgotten.

I think they should if for no other reason than they would fit with sisters of battle and GW could not even release a single new model for the minidex,,,,I mean come on something in miscast would have been ok even,throw us a bone type thing.

Before they do variants they need to put an actual plastic kit of Sisters out or a codex or new fluff where they don't get butchered and turned into an Imperial Paint by Numbers.........

Not disagreeing with you however, I think it'd be awesome to get new Sisters models, but I doubt it will ever happened, more than likely they get munched on by something in 7th edition to write them out of fluff, prolly along the lines of "The Grey Knights are so ubercool that the Sisters all realized they should just stop fighting, so that's what they did"

(In case you are wondering yes I do blame the demise of the SoB on the Grey Knights, and yes I do realize this makes no sense other than just to justify my own hatred towards the Unpainted Armor Knights)

I don't really think there's a "should" about it to be honest: I'm all but certain FW will make Sisters of Silence (and Custodes). Probably, I'd imagine, when they cover Prospero.

OT, 'the Voice' short story has a nice little hint about the fate of the Sisters of Silence, I'll post the quote later when I'm on the PC, it's nothing concrete, just the usual GW thread waving.

As for FW making the models, I'd love them to, and I can see it happening, they were a huge part of the Heresy, and it's a way of beefing out the Prospero book.

I would honestly love someone to write a Horus Heresy Novel about the Sisters of Silence. Give them a little more of a back story with some memorable, tangible characters as well. I love their aesthetic and would buy the models in a heartbeat.

Well they already appear in a few HH books, but without a lot of Sisters in training, there would be little decent dialogue in a book purely about Sisters of Silence.

Without a doubt, there's a couple of authors who could pull it off. Sadly, a full Sisters novel is akin to a Custodes novel, something a lot of the community want, but probably won't get. I'm happy with the cameos and short stories as it is though.

Yeah, a single book for a conflict between but two Legions will require two more factions involved to make its amount of content equal to Betrayal.
