I've got a shavastii sectorial army (the stuff from the sectorial starter).

And I recently purchased the new Ko Dali model.

I heard I can't run her with a Shavastii sectorial... how about if I just run my guys just as combined... that should be cool right?

Yes, you can run them non sectorial to use Ko Dali. But, you can only have 2 Seed-Soldiers in a general CA force.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

Why would you want seed soldiers anyway? They are the worst possible thing in a Shasvastii. For order generators Batroids are better and for everything else there is something else to take.

In vanilla CA that's pretty much the same thing.

Forever a pone.

Becouse, he is starting out and only has the starter.

Also because a bunch of camo markers potentially makes for a more robust set of order-generators than Batroids, especially in Shasvastii where the entire force can easily be camo.

Thanks for the input folks. I'll just tweak my list to smaller one to make it legal. Right now I'm at 300pts with the Sectorial plus Ko Dali... so I just will pluck a seed soldier out and maybe something else.

Man, that was like wandering into a 40k thread.

Lol. Yeh, the point is, everything has it's use in Infinity. One model might seem better but soon enough you'll find yourself in a situation where you wished you'd chosen something else.

Is Infinity somehow immune to having strictly inferior options, and is it supposed to be bad manners to point that out?

That's by far and enough baiting. I'm not saying that to any one person either. Let's just all be wary of our tone when speaking to each other. Dakka Rule one applies to everyone.

To answer your question N80: I and I beleive all of the vets I talk to will tell you there is no inferior unit in Infinity. All units are inferior in some situation to some other unit and you get what you pay for(points not cash). Corvus Belli have gone to lengths to stop the creation of useless units and stop any unit from being OP. The cheapest, lowly light infantry can ridicule the opposition if your opponent slips up big time.

To the second part of your question: If there isn't anything to point out then it can't be bad manners. Saying something which is widely considered my knowledgeable parties to be untrue though could be seen as baiting.. Baiting is more than bad manners.

In general? Yes. Any time someone thinks a unit is strictly inferior, they tend just have a playstyle incompatible with said unit. Regarding Seed Soldiers, you're the first person I've actually seen criticise them like that, so take that as you will.

This isn't 40k - hence my comment.

It wasn't N80 that said it Loki, it was kaap.

More importantly, let's end that line of discussion, someone make a new thread if necessary. Let's get back to helping the OP or let the thread die.

Interesting conversation on seed soldiers that for the most part is not supportive of them.

I think you'll find the OP asked about Ko Dali. As i said, make a new thread if you are intent on discussing this.
