While GK is generally a mid range shooting army with strong cc capabilities, the henchmen offer an option I haven't seen... Well, anyone take. Coteau, three units of DCAs and Crusaders, three LRCs, a ADL and Quad-gun, and five bolter acolytes to man it is exactly 1500. Even one of those DCA units is a fairly decent deathstar, and in units of 12 will kill most things rather quickly.
Has anyone tried something like this? I'm curious as to how well this would work.

This is exactly what I run. Two units of DCAs/Crusaders (6 each), a full unit of 12 Arco-Flagellants, and bolter/plasma/melta henchmen.
It's not quite as sheerly incredible as it was in 5th, but it's still strong.
For fun hijinks in higher point levels, I put the 12 Arcos in a Crusader with a brotherhood champion and Coteaz. 60 S6 attacks, re-rolling to hit, charging out of a Land Raider is nasty.

Well, DCA's hit at S6 with Power Mauls, and at I6. At least, that's what I'd do. A maul and sword to each DCA, and an Axe or Maul to each Crusader so they can take out heavier armor. Though 12 Arco's is a ton of attacks... I'm not sure many other units could withstand that.

That's pretty much the point. The DCA/Crusader squads are my linebackers and MEQ blenders. The Arco-Flails are a dedicated anti-deathstar unit.

I was thumped in a tourney in which a guy took something like the following at 1500:
Coteaz
2 Land Raiders with DCAs with Power Swords and a few acolytes (for overwatch fodder)
Stormraven wtih DCAs with Power Swords and a few Acolytes
Dreadknight with Incinerator
Dark Angels (i think?) allies
cheap psyker HQ for Divination
5 man tac squad in a Razorback or Rhino
I couldn't pop his Land Raiders, so he backed the trucks up and pounced on my poor Space Elves. Same deal with the Stormraven. By the time it came in, he killed my heavy weapons. Put the Raven in hover, assassins come screaming out and....assassinate.
So yeah, it'd work. The guy took first place by the way.

lol... last tourny i took a full squad of these guys...
dont even need to spend 200+ pts on a transport,
they dont shoot, so often get ignored completely, but anything stupid enough to try to take mid feild or my side dies very fast.
prescience + assassins + rad grenades and HH = winsauce

150: Techmarine (blind, rad, psychostoke grenades, warding stave, meltabomb)
165: 3 Crusaders (power axes), 8 Death Cult Assassins (power axe/power sword)
205: Stormraven Gunship (multi-melta, t-l lascannon)

205: Stormraven Gunship (multi-melta, t-l lascannon)
54: 6 Warrior Acolytes (3 melta guns)
50: Razorback (heavy bolters, psybolt ammunition)

42: 9 Warrior Acolytes (3 storm bolters)
40: Rhino

At 1750 it actually packs a pretty good punch. Of course he has to get a bit lucky bringing in the stormravens. I'm not a big fan of LRs in 6ed. With hull points there are a lot of units that can take them out and that's discounting blasters, fusion guns and meltas. I would much rather attack out of a stormraven. He does not lose that many games although he has a few matches where he falters a bit when points go up. The list is actually best at 1500 or 1750.
