Is anyone here using FW Guntrukks successfully? I'm eyeing the flakk or big lobba upgrades particularly.

Flakka is pretty good for AA, go with that.

Feels like the big lobba upgrade should be ok for its cost, basically 55 pts for a 48" S6 large blast barrage mounted on a fast vehicle. Being the fragile frame of a trukk, preferably out of sight.
Loading up on pie plates should mitigate their poor BS somewhat I think.
Would have been nice to hear from someone with experience of them before I buy FW stuff though.

Ork Admiral Kroozin Da Kosmos on Da Hulk

Well, the supa-skorcha is kind of broken, because you get fast vehicles that evaporate Space Marines on a 2+ for just 55 points.
The flakk trukk is the only really efficient anti-air we have access to, so I guess those work, too.
Outside of that they are... trukks, as in "can be shot to death by heavy bolters". Not really a unit you want to rely on or invest a lot of points into.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

Making marine players cry is always a plus.
