This is a modification of my 2k list that does not lose.

HQ:

DP - Wings, Armor, Mace, Daemon of tzeentch
Typhus

Troops:
25 Zombies
25 Zombies
25 Cultists (typhus running up the field with them)

Fast Attack:

Heldrake
Heldrake

Heavy Support:

Predator - Autocannon, 2 las sponsons
3x Obliterators with the mark of nurgle.

Hmm.. The Predators are interesting except I think it's just better to go with either full las or full autocannon/heavy bolter, because, while it is multi-purpose, you're halving its effectiveness against most stuff.. The autocannon can't hurt an LR, so you're essentially wasting shots :S Other than that, very good, but there seems to be a severe lack of survivable troops.. A couple of LRBT pieplates will sort those Cultists very quickly, unless you intend on running them through cover, but even an Eradicator Cannon would kill them.. I think, swap out the DP for a bunch of CSMs with Uber Grit, maybe even some Chosen in a Rhino would fare well Just some advice

A couple of thoughts:

My meta doesn't run LRBT in their IG lists. Furthermore the obliterators get to deep strike melta on heavy Mech IG. Aside from something like a LRBT the zombies are usually going to get their FNP rolls. There are just so many of them that I really don't see 75 troops falling in a standard 1500 point game.

In my opinion CSMs are trash. Cultists are trash too, but let me enlighten you. Cheap trash is better than expensive trash. And cheap trash lets you afford all the baddies I have in this list. I have a lot of fire power and hearty baddies in a 1500 point game. The one thing I would consider: Swapping out the predator for something else, I just don't think for the points I could get anything as good as it. 4 shots a turn and two of said shots ignoring termie saves and penetrating armor fairly easily. One thing that could really wreck my day though, the hurricane bolter Dark Angel Land Raider. Aside from that this is an all comers list I whipped up using my 2k list.

Why are CSMs trash in your opinion? And, on heavy Mech IG, your Oblits will probably get owned by a CCS with a meltagun, autocannon HWS, Veterans with meltas or plasma.. A whole range of nasty, high strength weaponry And, if you ever consider taking that list to a tourny, prepare yourself for Mech IG, they're very popular ^_^ And, I, for one, play them
