I'm not exactly sure about the rules for RP, so if a Necron Warrior fails its armour save from Spirit Leech, does it count toward the Doom's Absorb Life ability if the Warrior comes back? Since it counts as any unsaved wounds, I'm assuming it does. But for clarification since the Warrior comes back alive.

Doom would gain wounds because of absorb life. Rolling successfully RP doesn't change the fact that the Necron model has suffered an unsaved wound.

A) Spirit Leech doesn't allow armor saves.
B) If it inflicts an unsaved wound, the Doom gains a wound (up to a max of 10). Whether the model later recovers that wound somehow has no bearing.

Which one of our Necron players found to be really annoying. No matter how many times they came back, the Doom effectively stayed at 9-10 Wounds.
|
Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Oh yeah, no idea why I included an armour save, well thanks anyway. I thought as much but wanted to make sure.

S8+ attacks are definitely the way to get rid of him; which is one of the few things Necrons don't have a lot of. Wraiths have a good shot to get rid of him though, as they throw a lot of attacks wounding him on a 2+, and they get their Invuln save against his special rule.

S8 doesn't help when he has Iron Arm.

Oh, sure, but that's only a 1/6 chance, right? He only gets one power if he goes for rulebook powers, doesn't he? I usually see people go Telepathy so they can grab psychic shriek and double up on his anti- LD shenanigans.

I ran 2 Tyrants, the Doom, 2 Tervigons, 2 Broodlords. All had Iron Arm. My opponent called bull, rolled the die a few times and got nothing but 6's.

You do not get Armour Saves against Spirit Leech, only Cover Saves.
Whether or not the Warrior comes back doesn't matter, the Doom's absorb life is triggered when the Warrior falls over.
