Before i came here i was considered right wing by most of my friends, Dakka has definitely shown me the error of that thought.
What has Dakka shown you guys?
While left wing is generally socialist in most places, right wing is very dependent on local customs and traditions. The what constitutes right wing is very different in France, Israel, and the USA.

It's just interesting that i considered myself right wing as well as by friends (been called racist and facist )and come to dakka where due to the attitudes displayed by others i seem to be a tree hugging, patchouli wearing, incense burning, Movie crying, race betraying , society destroying PINKO!
But enough about me, what has dakka taught you guys?

Foreigner references aside Dakka has showed me just how much I should hate GW for their BS business practices, that all <insert your favorite army here> players are all weak newbs. Especially if they play Wardian codexes. OT has taught me there's no argument that irrational hatred and bullheadedness disguised as discourse can't make better, and that "thinking from a global perspective" just means that any one who thinks differently from you or your native culture is a backwards barbarian.
I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long
That when you have a good community everything is better. You can voice opinions, discuss differences etc. and at the end of the day most people aren't holding a grudge after. The way the community responded to the recurring bad penny showed what a great community we have here also.
As far as political opinions, I had my wake up call on another site
Dakka showed me that North Korea Is Bestest Korea.
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

It has shown me that the conservatives think it is full of liberals, and that the liberals think it is full of conservatives. Those in the middle can't facepalm hard enough to make the pain go away.
Also, wiener dogs. All day every day.

Dakka showed me that there isn't a subjet in the world that some people can't turn in to a dig at GW.
Dakka showed me that the most angry opinions come from people who don't read what they are angry about.
Dakka showed me that if someone has a diffrent view from you you must take it as a personal insult and attack them until they change there mind (The less persuasion and more profanity used the better).
Serious things:
That the US dose have a good reason for diffrent gun culture. Lots of bad reasons (IMO), but there are some good ones.
That adult debate can be had on subjects without going to extreams, or insulting people, just as long as you ignore a few people.
You guys have changed my minds on some things, strenthend my views (positively or negatively) on others.
Finaly, good booze and unhealthy food make the world go round.
