So it's been awhile since I posted on here but just wanted to say we've got quite a little thriving community here in my hometown now. I demo'ed the game at our one little FLGS and everyone really liked it. About three of my friends picked up starters and we've been playing regularly. I feel like we still screw up some of the rules from time to time but overall we do alright. I picked up another starter for myself, so now I've got the starters for Haqqislam, Aleph, and Ariadna. I think so far my favorite is my Ariadna starter. Anyway I love the game, I like how quickly things can swing in favor of one player or the other, unlike in say 40k where I feel like I can usually predict the winner after turn 2. Some of the people who saw the game in action didn't like how quickly things die when not left in cover, but personally I like that. The game is certainly about staying out of sight until the right moment, but I think that makes for a tense and exciting game. Anyway, I'm just really glad I found this game is it's a super refreshing change of pace from GW stuff.

Hey! Really glad to hear it's going so well for you and I'm glad you dropped in to share your experience

Have you bought anything other than the starters to try out? Or even proxied the starter models for something else to try it? And have you tried any special missions or the campaign?

I actually just placed an order today with Miniature Market to kick both my Aleph and Haqqislam forces up to an easy 200 points (I was sitting closer to ~160) I went ahead and bought another Fiday and the box set of Muyibs (the 4 man squad) and then for the Aleph i just bought the 4 man Myrmidons since my brother loves his Steel Phalanx starter and Myrmidons are beasts if you can handle the impetuous. I have done quite a few proxing with the units I have on hand. Mostly on the Haqqislam side as my brother usually plays the Aleph and he loves what he has. I haven't tried any of the special missions yet, but maybe we'll do that. I also saw some kind of special mission write up over at Beasts of War. But yeah, loving the game so far and just glad I could convince some others to play. It's a great change of pace from the usual 40k and I personally even like it more then WarmaHordes.

Nice solid buys! Do tell us how it goes with them. What sort of terrain have you been working with? Do you have your own?

Great to hear!

The new ITS missions you can download are pretty fun to play. Paradiso is almost too complex. I love it but it takes more time than I want to put in right now.
