I'm curious about selling an Ebook, but given the royalties go into my bank account and i'm on jobseeker benefits, i'm wondering if it isn't more hassle than it's worth if i have to claim on it via government? :/

Sounds like solid advice. Don't forget, if someone can get paid for "Stuffed! Taken by the Toys III (Paranormal Holiday Gangbang)" (yes, that's an actual ebook) then there's no reason you can't make money either
