Hey Dakkadakka,

So I have been converting my AoBR termies into assault termies. 2 LC termies are finished, and I'm currently working on my thunder hammer/ss termies.

While looking at thunder hammers, I decided I wanted to try something different for my chapter. Basically they were a chapter fleet that was thrown off course in the warp and crashed into a planet, losing most of their ships in materiel (though their flagship, which held the geneseed, survived). The scuttled ship didn't have terminator Assault weapons on it, but they decided they needed them to deal with the dangers of the planet their on. To make these hammers, they took ceramite from the ships ram and shaped it into hammer heads. Because these weren't powered, they put them on long poles (essentially a pole-maul) so that the Termies could gather enough speed and leverage to strike with effective force.

Because they have long pole-mauls, they use ceramite shields as a pavise, shielding themselves as they approach an enemy and then they place it in holders on their back and go to town with two-handed ceramite mauls.

Essentially the questions comes down to: would you all be okay fighting a terminator with a two-handed hammer with Storm Shields on their back (one model is depicted on route with shield in hand)?

I would absolutely play them. They have all their equipment shown AND they look positively badass. Green light.

Do they have the equipment that they are listed with properly represented? Sounds like they will do. I'd not only play them but would seek to play them, purely to play such unique conversions.

They've got hammers and shields, they don't resemble other models/weapons - good to go.
