My list is a bit out of sorts since i retired my demon prince. i dont regret the desision as he left my men to die more often than not and couldnt join a squad.

so i need a new lord that will idealy help my men do their fightin and not fly around like a loose cannon.

i have 300 points left on my tab so go nuts.

my list is
2 drakes
2 10 man marine squads in rhinos
1 zerker squad in land raider

Abaddon, he rides with the zerkers and destroys the enemy warlord in close combat.

Alternatively, you could take a Chaos Lord with jump pack and MUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR Sword. Mine has never failed me. The only difficulty with this guy is that he will only be able to join a squad of raptors/warp talons.

But Abaddon WILL win in combat.

Abaddon is awesome, but so is a Jugger-Lord. Chaos Lord, MoK, Juggernaut, AoBF. See about putting him in a unit of spawn or bikers and mow through the opposition.

Abaddon is the way to go. Or Kharn

If your wanting to buff then a level 3 sorcerer with sigil of corruption and mark of tzeentch is worth a try.

Failing that yeah take abbadon

ive run math and i can get

2 level 3 scorcerers in terminator armor with familers for all 300pts

Abadon who if he rides in the zerkers raider will force me to remove 2 zerks. giving me a handfull of spare points to dump on sommin

5 spawn and a chaos lord with power weapon and juggernaught. with the possibilty of dropping a spawn for AoBF.

or i can get a naked lord or sorcerer and blow my points on obliterators, but i love making characterful characters so not quite my style.

Gimmie thoughts, abbadon is popular but my local game club often runs tornamets which ban unique characters, plus as im often down to help run these getting abbadon is a little heritaical

I vote for the Juggernaut Lord. His very presence will make your Khone Berzerkers scoring, and a Jugger Lord alongside a squad of Spawn is adds another deadly threat to your list. Definitely take the Axe of Blind Fury, it is excellent.

So Jugger Lord gives you a solid close combat threat, and gives you another scoring unit. Definitely the best choice.

Fitting in with your army, I think this option goes best. A Juggelord with the AoBF will wipe out most squads single handed, or close to it. He is 8-12 attacks (assuming you don't roll a one on the daemon weapon) at I5, S5 (or is it 6, can't remember if the AoBF is +1 or +2 str) and AP2, very tough to handle. Most MEQ die right out, since most don't have an invul save, and even 5 man squads of terminators can die to him before they ever swing, with the spawn there to soak wounds, you'll be off to some seriously happy hunting!!!

I love Abby though, he is just awesome, and he can no longer be turned into a spawn when he kicks someone's butt. But, the Khorne lord makes your beserkers troops boosting the objective holding power of your army and that is always good.

Short man with attitude is awesome. But why not have both a fighty HQ combined with a psyker.

Spawn with a Juggerlord gets a vote for me. Definitely with the Axe of Blind Fury.

Black mace (which is a white blade for fluffynes and parts issues)

princes arn't realy built to be psykers due to a lower leadership, and the lack of a decent invunrable save,
also they range well ahead of the army so cant buff alies and they cant join squads to help with leadership,
this means hes often singled out and killed quickly as people realise that despite the speed and scaryness hes toughness 5
