Recorded on the same day as a recent report (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/527429.page) this was the second outing of my brand new Tau army. Slightly higher points, but essentially the same list with a single large addition. Insert evil laugh here.

Looks like some one needs a wraithknight for their army

Err... Riptides have Darksun Filters as fixed gear, the walkers shouldn't have received their Night Fighting stealth/shrouded in turn 1.

Yup you are totally correct. My opponent didn't know and I forgot until after the fact (though to be fair it was only my second time using Tau ever).

Eldrad at 1250? The eldar players unit selections at 1250 are a bit questionable. Tau need to boot drones off riptides and stealth drone team, but other then that looks pretty good.

I don't have a Farseer model and did not want to proxy. I agree he is too expensive at 1250 and the list was not competitive. I wrote two lists for this game, one with the intent on winning, the other to give our Tau player a fighting chance on his first game with the army. Turns out, I should have used the competitve list!
