its mostly self explanatory, lots of str 7 and 5 relatively tough scoring units with the ones in rhinos moving towards objectives and the cultists sitting behind the ADL with the havoks

I'm not sure about the autocannons on the csm squads.
They will be snapfiring for most of the game, so I'd imagine double plasma guns would be better.

drop the heldrakes hades autocannon. ALways equip them with baleflamers for maximum, no cover saves allowed, power armour destroying CARNAGE!

I agree with King Pyrrhus heavy weapons are a bad idea in CSM squads. Special weapons dovetail well with boltguns, loyalists are forced to take this poor combo you don't have to so I suggest you don't.

Why the 2 Lvl2 sorcerers?

Why the 6th Havoc in each squad?

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

thanks King Pyrrhus thats a good point i missed thanks. useless, im not sure as this is my brothers army, is it worth having one dedicated to anti flyer or is their vector strike good enough? IDK so let me know, thanks.

I think having one out of three heldrakes with a hades autocannon isn't a bad choice.

One thing to consider is turning one of the Sorcerers into a Nurgle Lord. That would mean the Plague Marines count as troops, and you could consider adding in a second squad of them.

It's also worth pointing out that you have gone for 4 HS slots. That's fine at 2k points if you are playing with 2 FOC but a lot of people prefer to play 1999+1 games that only use 1 FOC.

actually i made a mistake with that list, i forgot to count the ADL so here it would be (plus your suggestions);

sorcerer lvl 2
sorcerer lvl 2
6 plague marines with 2 plasma guns in a rhino
10 chaos space marines with 2 plasma guns in rhino
10 chaos space marines with 2 plasma guns in rhino
20 cultist

5 Havok with 4 AC’s
5 Havok with 4 AC’s
ADL with the quad gun

yeah sorry i better fix that again. as for the 6th havok, it was jsut padding for the actual 4 decent ones, just a pawn.

as for the 4 HS slots, i would just drop either a havok squad or a single oblit and make a second plauge marine squad out of the cultists i think

and one of those hell drakes could be a hades auto cannon, but id want to play test it first

Not bad, good to see you have some ADL's for your havocs to take cover

I would say keep the 6th havoc in each squad. you want one of the guys in the squad to use the quad gun and itll only take one kill to reduce the firepower of the squad with only 5.

Baleflamer only on helldrakes. Youre gonna be in the enemies grills with it either way and its guaranteed to hit.

2 special weapons of the same type is almost always the best way to go with chaos marine squads. try one squad with 2 flamers 1 squad with 2 plasmas and give the plague marines 2 meltas. You want to give the plagues an assault weapon especially as they arent scoring in your current list you actually WANT them to be in the face of the enemy causing maximum carnage, watching your opponent sigh as they dont die.

I think the general feeling here though is drop one of those sorcerers and get a nurgle lord (I woudl still give the plague marines meltas)

Oh and one more thing. As this is dual force org. You might want to consider keeping the obliterators as a single model unit each. So if one gets shot dead theres no chance of the other running away.

But of course this is a double edged sword and down to preference.

And then they get slaughtered back by meager boltguns just as easily as normal marines. Not a highly competative unit imo unfortunately. Way too many points for somethign which dies to small arms fire so easily.

True however ive had a few good experiences with them where ive rolled D3 units of infiltration with my warlord, infiltrated Thousand Sons 18" away from SM devastators and killed them all first turn, proceeding to cause havoc at the front of enemy lines whilst my chosen lag there way up the battlefield.....

An allied detachment of tzeentch can be nice, a lvl 3 Herald of Tzeentch costs 95 points and can take 3 divination powers and you stick him in a unit of horrors who can go to ground every turn behind ADL for a 2+ re-rollable save. Only costs 200 points and is scoring.

Thousand sons are pretty bad, from memory they are not as bad as they used to be but they are certainly not good. Although ill have a look at the allies thanks.
