Its the moment you notice that you got the wrong maneuver on your dial you really get that feeling .

We've got a new houserule since yesterday. Since most of us dont play very competively (and only a few weeks) people tend to forget their actions while movement and they always ask if they could put the action on later (if its clear which action they wanted to take). They can do that but the ship gets a stress token. This way they are kinda punished but not that hard and they still learn their lesson. Works for us.

Other than that i had a game against my flatmate yesterday. He played triple firespray-31s and i played han shot first list (Han - marksman, gunner, nien-nunb, chewie, falcon + 2 rookies).

Not easy to go through 30 hitpoints. At the end my 2 rookies (both down their shields) were alive against one full equipped firespray. I simply stood out of its fire arc (3 firesprays means no upgrades and only bounty hunters) and killed it.

Not a fan of his list. Its just to easy to outmaneuver it.

Got a 100pt game in this weekend! I suited up as the Empire and took this list:

Boba Fett with Ion Cannon, Cluster Missiles, and Swarm Tactics
Tie Interceptor (PS 4, dont have my cards with me) with Marksmanship
2 Black Squadron Pilots.

Kept them all grouped up turn 1 and 2 using the swarm tactics on the interceptor. Had a couple of great turns and a couple of bad ones. Ended up winning the game with Boba. I just love that back arc primary weapon. The interceptor was the first to pop, but it did contribute to the death of a y-wing . My opponent was running:

Luke Skywalker in the Outer Rim YT-1300
Y-wing with Protons and R2-D2
A-wing with Cluster Missiles and Elusiveness

Overall, I would have replaced the Interceptor with more Black Squadron Ties and given Boba the Marksmanship upgrade.

There are a few lists I am eager to try, including 5 Y-wings at 100 pts, 2 ion cannons, the rest vanilla... the Han Shoots first list...

Since it came up already - the infamous 5 y-wing list. Did anyone try this and has any experience to share? Dont know if its worth it since thats the only list i could come up with that includes 5 of them. Having 5 only to play this list seems kinda wasted if it isnt viable.

3x Gold Squadron Pilot
2x Gold Squadron Pilot with Ion Cannon

When your opponent gets your ion y wings early youre pretty much grounded. Other than that its 40Life he has to cut through. Doesnt sound that easy to me. Easier for rebels in a mirror. Imperium should have more problems to overcome this much HP.

This seems very easy to combat as an Imperial, without list tailoring. Yes, there are two Y-Wings with Ion Cannons, but a couple of ties flying to the sides of this formation, using evades or any tie pilots who get free/multiple actions (Vader, Fel, Phennar, PtL upgrade). Also, zipping to the sides and getting to barrel roll out of the way before shooting, you have 2 Y-Wings to deal with, their 3 dice verse your three dice, and if you have multi actions you can/might/should have an evade or focus to avoid the ion cannons. It'll take time, and it'll require correct flight, but you should win with relative ease.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
