Sounds like a good list (and fluffy for Iron Warriors as well) but I am wondering who is going to use the ADL? Would it be the cultists?

I personally would maybe drop a Vindicator for a unit of Havocs which can add firepower while the champ of the unit fires the Icarus.

Fun list. I'd worry about putting a fist on an unmarked marine sergeant though. Thats a lot of points for something youll often not get to use

Automatically Appended Next Post:
There's a good chance theyll die in the mandatory challenge before they get to use it. I use them on my plague champions because they cna take the damage.

(last week one killed lucious the eternal in one round of challenge )

eh i think i might be able to use them but we will see. either i spend 20 points on a fist or 20 points on a power weapon and a melta bomb

25 for fist.

I would say power sword/mace and melta bombs.

5 points cheaper You can take on walkers still and still do damage in a challange against mediocre-strong melee armies.

If you charge those marines into termies you've already lost the combat

I love that list!!! Seriously, you play like a IW it's supposed to be played. By the way, warpsmith's default equipement includes a power axe, so you don't have to pay for it. I can't complain about this list, it has everything!

Regards from a fellow IW player.

Even in death i still serve.

I'm still not seeing it, but this is my first time actually taking a close look at the vehicles, could I get a page number?

It looks to be a strong and fluffy list.

At 1500 its pretty hard to deal with 3 AV13 Str 10 pie plate spitting tanks.

Also when the HH book comes out with Peterabo you should be able to pick up him and a few of his robots for ~500 points to make 2k

Peterabo would be nice but i think i couldn't do him justice

when did the iron warriors get robots?

eh i play mostly for fun and i like running fluff lists. another way to be fluffy would be to bring a three man of blits to the field for long range doom...but three tanks i think is more fitting to the whole siege warfare thing. since this is a very short ranged army

Peterabo had a body guard made up of robots that he had built. They had weaponry similar to thunder hammers and storm shields and they were supposedly as big as he was.

They were featured in one of the latest HH books where Peterabo and Fulgrim were the protagonists.( I don't recall the name, Angels something-or other). Worth the read I couldn't have cared less about Peterabo and the Iron warriors before I read that book, and now If I do a second marine army thats probably the route I'll take.

Any Ideas on how to take this up to 1850? within fluff parameters? or should i just add terminators and call it good?

Downgrade siege shield to dozer blade and use the points to get combi bolters on each vindicator so a weapon destroyed result may break that instead of demolisher cannon.

I read storm of iron, sadly chosen can not infiltrate anymore. Speaking of which. If you try to infiltrate an embarked unit on a transport they get the outflanking from reserves rule instead. Unless you are somehow allowed to infiltrate both trooops n rhino diesmbarked.

hmmm well like i said if i get the infiltrate warlord ability weither i can infiltrae the vindis or move my marines up either war it would be quite nasty surprise for whoever

Nice list man. Looks like it will be pretty awesome to play.

If your going along like Post Heresy Fluff. Im not 100% certain on using Cultists. I can totally see why you would want to take them from the CSM Codex, but, IW do their own dirty work.

And in regards to building it up further points value, nothing beats something big and monster'y. Like a forgefiend, Your keeping it fun to play with using the CSM codex, but also a little bit fluffy. Or A helbrute, but they fail a little bit really lol.

Other than that, liking the list man.

Agree with other chap about Havocs though, that would be a great plan.
