Could you guys describe more of what happened during Frankie's first shooting turn? How lucky did you have to get to waste that many council bikers and beastpacks?

Frankie tends to not add as much detail when he films a bat rep as I do, sorry.
Grant rolled like hell, he lost most of his first deathstar, quickly. They've played about 4 games and Grant actually wins most of the time with that list, it is really nasty.
Frankie has smacked most people around with his list, but he gets owned by Tau. He has yet to find a way to beat them.
@y0disisray
Yeah, we've been slammed and I was learning a new video editing software that is really powerful but complex as hell! It took me a while to get my head wrapped around it. Hopefully soon you will be seeing WAY better reports.

Yea seems like it, although I was curious if Frankie popped his combi-flamer squad down there on the council to negate their 2++ from Invisibility. (I assume it was up). And then he would have had some tasty bolter shots at the beast pack.
But yea, still a tough break for Grant for sure!

I love me some Drop Pod'n Space Wolves, especially when you can squeeze in 7 or 9 Pods. Frankie's list is interesting, though I'm personally leery of its one-shot nature. The massive alpha-strike potential is hilarious though. I'll have to give it a spin just for grins, though there is no way I'm going to try to deal with getting/converting that many combi-weapons!
It's nice to see Drop Pod armies show these super lists what's up. I play a fun vulkan drop pod army and constantly have to defend how good it is. So I say to Frankie if all else fails "kill it with fire!"

Yeah, Grant was bummed he got whipped in a Bat rep when he has been taking Fankie's Chaos to school with his Deldar!
@cowmonaut
I agree, this list is too one sided. But, Frankie ALWAYS plays unbalanced lists. It is just the way he likes to play. His lists are always ultra spammy, or ultra assault, or ultra shooty, etc. He goes for the all or nothing lists every time. I was trying to convince him to take a few pods full of max Grey Hunters to beef his army out and add some utility but he was convinced that the increased power of the min maxed units was the better choice.
@chancetragedy
Drop Pods got quite the boost this edition. No more full reserves, better odds of getting stuff in, etc. They are very solid this edition and I have been tempted to bust mine out, too! Space Wolves and Vulkan certainly do it best.
@reecius - absolutely drop pods got a boost. You also forgot the 6"disembark which IMO is the second buggest reason they got so good besides the 50% reserve rule. also to a lesser extent the fact that on the off chance you do mishap it's a lot more forgiving.
I also think your right even 1 pod of 10 hunter would really buff out his army. My list uses vulkan, lysander, 4xtacticals, sternguard, and command squad in 3pods/2rhinos(yahyah first blood my butt) so i can totally see what flooding the board with meq bodies can accomplish. But you know how it goes, sometimes people just wanna play how thy want and their is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks! Yeah, the grooves cut into the board filled with resin did come out really nice, but sometimes your dice fall into them! Other than that though, we're really pleased with the table.
@Chance
Oh yeah, haha, duh! The 6" disembark is amazing, good point.
But you are right, everyone is free to play how they choose. Frankie is easily one of the best players I know, too. He writes killer lists I just think there is a lot to be said in flexibility. I almost always right TAC lists, personally. I find them to not only be better, but more enjoyable to play, too.
Good much, liked the models and found the Eldar/DEldar list really interesting. Wyches might actually be more interesting than Kabalite Warriors in this case, as they have less redundancy with the other units and could really lock up some of your nastier guys for a while.
I do wish there was more detail, as others said. I could still follow fairly well though, but was hoping for a recap. Who actually won? The Marines?
Also, do either of you have any take-aways on the strategies used?

I've run a simliar list to Frankie in the past (although with a lot of proxies, damn combi weapons kill me.) and one thing that would improve him, I think.
Run Logan with the Long Fangs, and give them Multi Meltas (and a TDAWG with Cyclone or AC or whatever). They come down with relentless, and really add to the alpha strike potential of the list (can also be Plasma Cannons, or both, considering split fire). The TDAWG is there to eat challenges Logan doesn't want, and Logan can always break off and join another squad if needed.
Armies: Lokisons (The Rout), Sluts and Puppies: A Chaos Daemon Experience (Daemons), PDF of the Union of Surviving Slavic Regimes (Imperial Guard), The Dead Live! (Chaos Marines), Loke's Blokes (Orks), The Kabal of the Hidden Blade (DE)

Yeah, Marines won but they usually lose to that list. The guys just got caught up in the game and didn't take the time to really explain things int he video as well as they could have.
@anonymou5
I will pass that along to him.
I tired to persuade him to take Long Fangs with Logan too for the same reasons you listed, but he didn't like it. I think a unit of heavy weapons with split fire dropping in the backfield, particularly with MMs, would be brutal.
