Ok if you didnt know, there was a rumor going on that the people who made Super Robot Wars/Taisen was making a game similar to SRW, but instead with Japanese Anime Heroines with it being called "Super Heroine Chronicle"

Pretty much most places I went automatically assumed this was going to be some sort of Magical Girl "SRW" and were pretty stoked (such as PreCure, Cardcaptor, even the complete and utter deconstruction Magica, etc. You know shows where they solves things with the power of a million suns)

As it turns out, the game is being made, but with completely different heroine's in mind. I guess Heroine in japan is a synonym for main character/main girl/main character love interest instead of female super hero? I mean there are a few in here that I guess can count but some of the others though are a bit out there. I mean I dont exactly equate Higurashi with "heroine"....

Spoiler:

The series list

Twin Angel
Kyousogiga
Di Gi Charat
Swan Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear
Super Sonico
Higurashi When They Cry
Aria the Scarlet Ammo
Infinite Stratos
The Familiar of Zero
Dream Hunter Rem

BTW before any of you jump at me, not being sexist or anything! And not being "those creepy old guys watching girly shows" either! Nor am I saying if you are a fan of any of these that your show sucks. Just that this game isnt what I had in mind

Well in Japanese games Heroine (not heroin, completely different! Do not make that mistake!) heroine can commonly refer to female leads opposite the protagonist, from what I understand this is especially common in visual novels. That is to the best of my knowledge any way, I will ask someone who knows about that kinda stuff and get back to you.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

It's the same usage you see regarding romance novels. If a guy's the love interest, he's referred to as the "hero".

Pretty much yeah. Heroine in Japan is often defined as the hero's love interest, rather than based off of anything she actually did (aside from maybe the hero).

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I confess that last bit in parenthesis made me giggle like a twelve year old briefly.

Mission accomplished!
