I can't remember the taste of resin, or the shape of Wereshewolves. It's all dark, BrookM. It's just so dark...

Ugh. All my models are now ready to ship. I'm so tempted to contact them and ask them to ship seperately from my dropship....

I've got almost the last of mine,

Jailbird troopers, command, snipers and a bike
KST troopers, snipers and a bike
IE snipers, and a bike

plus a nurse Bernadette coaster

all look good (maybe a tiny bit of warping on one of the bike guns) although I've not opened the bags to check in detail, that'll have to wait for the weekend

sadly the missed putting my mechs, and cyberzombies in the box, but clearly realised the mistake as I've another delivery from them scheduled for tomorrow and then all being well that will be that,

KS complete (and to my mind a success)

and since I backed version 2.0 I can now start waiting for that

Mine came in today! Huzzah!

From July 7th '13 to August 14th of '15. Now that I have minis in hand? Totally worth it. Only conundrum now is how to outfit them for guardsman purposes.

Yeah.
This.
12 weeks finalization, baring any unforseen disasters, stated back in January. Backers were sent an email regarding this again in June...

Dear Connoisseur Box backer,
I wanted to personally tell you that your hand-poured resin cast Heroines are all done, except for the Technopriestess Nepharya in 28mm.
As you probably recall, Nepharya happened to be problematic to cast in hand-poured resin. We first tried to fix the master by hand, but the result was not good enough. So we changed the problem parts directly in 3D and then reprinted a new master just for the hand-poured resin cast.
We received samples of the actual cast yesterday, and they are perfect, so we have now ordered the production casts.

We will receive them later this month, and we will then prepare and send you your exclusive box of hand-poured Heroines in the post as quickly as possible.
Please remember that we will ship Nepharya 54mm and the printed Art-Book in a separate package at no extra shipping cost to you, so that you do not have to wait for the rest of your TGG Rewards.

You have been incredibly patient with us, and we hope that our hard work will please you. Meanwhile, if you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reply to this message or send us an email at RagingHeroesTeam@gmail.com

2 months later, still no notification.
Maybe next month.....

I've got quite a lot still outstanding, including a set of the freebies, since I bought out someone else's pledge but they decided to only send me one set as part of their promo for KS2.

I haven't opened any of the stuff I received yet. The painfully drawn-out nature of it all, and my reduced amount of interest in 40k has had me put the parcels on the shelf to open up and QA when the final ones arrive. I'd rather do it all at once, then in stages.

Of course, if they give me any gak for QAing them so late, it'll certainly be a fun back and forth.

Has anyone else mentioned having problem getting paint to stick on the minis? I've washed them well and the primer still gets scraped of ridicolously easy.

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

MIne arrived a couple of days ago, looks like everything is there.. including the wereshewolves.. going to boot up my buy list and do a final check to make sure there are no errors as they had made two mistakes previously.

However end result is I now have two full Guard armies, one each for me and Aurelia (ze wife) and we shall be looking to start preparations of much Guard themed carnage in the near future.

Will need to order some more GW bases mind, not a fan of the RH ones, the edges don't match my 40K ones.. damn my modelling OCD.

Oh and they provide 50mm sized ones for the werewolves.. which are too small in my opinion, so will be uping them all to 60mm.

Does the resin look greasy or sweaty?

It looks bit waxy perhaps but it could be because i've been rubbing the paint of with my fingertips. I guess I have to clean them more carefully? Damn shame on all that lost spray paint though.

If this persists after cleaning, take up contact with them, could be that you got a few models done with resin that hasn't cured properly.

Well washing and cleaning isn't really the same thing, I'll try actually going over them properly before I take it up with them. Also wouldn't it be odd for all the minis to suffer from a bad bathch of resin?

It isn't a bad batch of resin likely, but incompletely cured molds. The alcohols in the silicon curing agent inhibit curing in the resin. Usually this is noticeable if you scrape with your finger nail and a little bit of the sort of shiny, waxy stuff comes off. Cured resin should be flay matte, too, not shiny at all unless it is a cast of a perfectly smooth surface.

Then again, bad batches of resin do happen. A bad 55 gallon drum of resin will mess up a LOT of models

No flaking of the resin under the pressure of my nails, not even when viewed under a microscope. but as I said it appears a bit shiny in places, more like a waxy surface than a satin one (then again I don't think I've ever seen resin with a satin surface). More accuratly would be to say the reflection is not entirly diffuse (though mostly diffuse of course).

I had some of the same concerns, but my primer (the cheapie walmart colorplace flat black) seems to have held after I gave the minis a bath in hot water and Dawn liquid detergent. I'd try that.

Just letting the model sit for a few days in a sunny window or in front of the basement dehumidifier might take care of it too. Often works for me when I get too excited and pour a mold before it is perfectly cured. I also have had good results with spraying automotive primer over them so long as the surface isn't too soft/waxy.
