Here is yet another new eldar list. I'm rebooting my old force, but haven't played it since 2-3rd edition. Lots of dust on these guys. The thing that drew me to the eldar are the jet bikes and grav tanks, so I want to keep those central to the list. I've been playing marines for so long, I'm finding it hard to think like a twisty xenos, erm, I mean enlightened farseer.

Autarch, jet bike, fusion gun/power sword. Phoenix gem 135

2 warlocks, 1 on bike w/spear, other basic on foot 90

6 man jetbike squad, 2xcannon upgrades 122

10 man guardian defenders, scatter laser platform
Wave serpent, TL brightlance 230

5 Dire avengers, exarch w/power weapon shimmershield 95
6 Fire dragons, exarch w/fast shot 152
6 swooping hawks, exarch w/sunrifle 121
Crimson Hunter 160

Falcon, scatter laser 135
Falcon, scatter laser 135
Fire Prism 125

I think wave serpents are generally better transports than falcons. Equally your guardian squad could not have a wave seprent and be 3 times (1x20 + 1x10, or just 3x10) the size.

Your aspect squads are all small with pricy exarchs, not sure that is the best idea. Eg fire dragons a squad of 5 is probably enough to slag any vehicle in the game. Whereas dire avengers, you're paying 30 extra points on the exarch when the squad itself is too small to be much use.

The autarch seems out of place. He is not enough on his own to make the jetbike squad punchy, and a farseer is better for general support. If you do take a combat autarch on a jetbike (and I would only do so if taking shining spears or at least a 9xjetbike squad) why not take a laser lance instead.

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

Corregidor 700 pts
Acontecimento 400 pts

It is a little ironic that I'm ultra singly with my marine sergeants, but am willing to trick out exarchs with all the sparkly extras...

The fire dragons were originally just gong to be a 5 man squad, I bumped them up to 6 with the exarch with spare points at the end when I was looking for a place to drop the last ~50 points. In hindsight, I might be better off getting holofields for the tanks.

The autarch is there for reserves manipulation. I want my paper armored flyer to come in at the right time. I honestly have no idea what equipment to give him, so I just went with a generalist load out.

The guardians in the serpent are there for a few reasons. One, the marine in my is used to rolling up in a rhino, pilling out, and boltering things to death. Figured these guys can do something similar to clear off objectives. The second is that this is a Saim-Hann army. Walking and getting mud on your boots is for lesser races. Everybody is on a bike of in a transport. I might make exceptions for sneaky gits like rangers or scorpions, but not guardians. I was entertaining the idea of replacing these guys with some wraithguard of some flavor with the seer to make them troops.

The dire avengers are there to fill the second falcon. I figured some extra troops might be useful. The exarch with the shimmerfield was there to help make them more resilient for when they do disembark. I own two falcons, and while they don't both need to be on the table every game, they are the reason I started picking up Eldar back in the day. The dragons seems a good fit for one, and I just defaulted to "more troops" for the other.

If you are looking for something to fill a Falcon, Rangers are now better than Dire Avengers.

I know, right? Old habbits die hard.

But 5 Rangers costs you 60 points (the same as old DAVU), and have long range weapons to compliment the Falcon's long range weapons- you can still hop in the Falcon for transportation whenever you need to as well.

Xom finds this thread hilarious!
